”You lost me again...” grumbled Akane as she gazed at the show window of one of her favorite boutiques in one of Central City’s many shopping districts. She was too short on her allowance to actually go in and buy anything, but she could still dream about walking around in the latest fashions that were so nicely presented in there. Specifically, non-ripped up fashions due to her freaky newfound strength. Besides, the irritated teenager needed something... ANYTHING... to distract her from the fact that she was practically being stalked by the weird glowing orb that had ruined her life. It was only made worse by the fact that only she could see or hear it unless it specifically decided to reveal itself to anyone else. So not only was she freakishly strong now, but she was also possibly insane to boot.
”So, like, you’re a...?” ”Seishin,” the floating orb answered flatly. ”And I’m, like, a...?” ”Descendant of the Kikomi clan.” ”Right. From, like, another dimension...” ”That is correct.” Ugh, on top of all the the bullshit this thing decided to go and dump on her against her will, it was boring as all hell to talk to. Even its reflection in the show window was pissing Akane off. And she couldn’t even yell at the little bastard either. That was a guaranteed one-way ticket to the nut house!
”Like, what the hell am I supposed to do with this ’power’ of mine anyway? Am I one of those ancient heroes of bullshit? Cause let me tell you now that that ain’t happening. I’m, like, sooooo not letting my grades bomb because your people can’t handle their shit,” Akane continued to grumble, still looking over the mannequins in the window all decked out in their trendy clothes. She was trying to keep her voice down, but was finding it to be an increasingly difficult task the more she talked. This whole scenario was like a stupid dream that was only getting dumber by the second. She was seriously just supposed to be cool with this crap and go along with it?!
”No, it’s nothing like that. It’s just necessary to make sure that the Kikomi bloodline prospers as much as it can since the rest of them passed away. You’ll be required to hone your abilities under my guidance.” Akane could hear herself groan again as her shoulders slumped forward. ”Lucky me.” She adjusted the shoulder strap on her purse before finally tearing her eyes away from the shop’s front window. Whatever stupid guidance this thing had in mind for her, it wasn’t starting yet. Augh, it was going to eat up so many of her weekends when it did though! This sucked big time! Why the hell did she have to be broke now of all times? Akane could have really gone for some consumer therapy right about now.
”Window shopping it is,” she mumbled as she casually made her way through the sparsely populated shopping district. She was still finding it difficult to wrap her head around the mess that she had been unlucky enough to find herself in. However, as far as she was concerned, she didn’t care right now. Let the freaky little Sei-whatever follow her. As long as he didn’t keep bugging her, she was going to at least try to enjoy herself while she was out there.

”Finally!” Ohkara exclaimed, as she hopped out of one of the many boutiques of Central City. Twirling in a small circle, she watched her brand new, yellow and white dress twirl around with her. Beaming brightly in approval, she let out a giggle. It had been so long since the young lady had time to actually go out and enjoy herself, let alone actually treat herself to some new threads. This dress was perfect in every way, the beautiful white frills on the neck and hem accented the bright yellow, and not only that, but it even matched her wonderful umbrella, which hung from her cyan cloth belt where her training weights were housed.
After quickly brushing a hand through her dark-green bangs, and double-checking that her pigtails were in order, she let out yet another giggle. The fact that a mere year ago this city had been turned to rubble, and that she had fought on the front lines of a rebellion seemed almost like a bad dream. Since then there had been many changes in the young woman's life, but the biggest one was her lack of time to herself; this was the first time in a year that she'd actually been able to go shopping, and even though she had to do it alone, she wouldn't let that stop her from enjoying herself.
Taking off down the street, she paid attention to each item in the store windows, waiting for the perfect one to speak to her. Never having much money in the past, her involvement in the F.R.E.E. Rebellion had changed that as well, and having had no time to spend it, it was now burning a hole in her pocket. She was gonna spoil herself in one way or the other... Or at least that's what she had planned...
Turning a corner, she noted the normal kind of traffic bustling through the streets; however someone caught her eye specifically. A small girl with red hair, whom was looking into a store window. Normally Ohkara might not bat an eye at the situation, but this was different. The way the girl was staring lustfully into the window reminded her of herself. She had had that same look many times before. Taking a step forwards, she watched the girl turn and mutter something to herself, then take off down the street.
Making out only a fraction of what she'd said, Ohkara let out yet another giggle, ”Maybe I don't have to do all this shopping by myself...” she thought, a small smirk crossing her face. Aside from playing hero over the past year, she had found herself with very little human interaction. Ethar had locked himself in his house, Ethan had taken it upon himself to restore his school, Shun... Well who knew what that bunny-boy had been up to... Maybe, if she could help this girl, she wouldn't have to be so lonely anymore...
Picking up her pace, Ohkara raced to catch up with the girl, ”Heeeey!” she exclaimed, waving a hand in the air like a mad-women as she neared her, giving very little thought to how she might react to such a situation. Hopefully the reaction would end up a pleasant one, ”You look like someone with good taste! Have you had any luck finding anything worth buying?”

Ah the nice bright sun. Perfect how it burns into your eye sockets during a hangover. Walking down the sidewalk she closed her eyes and pinched the section between them. Luckily this time she woke up with her clothes and her wallet. She was sure the tank top she put on before had been white... and not torn away to reveal her abdomen. That meant she had fun last night... then someone really pissed her off. Jaxine wondered if the people you killed without realizing it counted towards going to hell. She looked up, walking by a church just as she was thinking that... with a priest shaking peoples hands outside. The second the priest locked eyes with Jaxine, it looked like the devil himself was before him. Eyes with heavy dark makeup drawing your gaze into blood red eyes.
She grinned and continued by. She chuckled at the thought of her strutting in there. She'd burst into flames in seconds, likely. She burst out laughing about how there was a strip club next to the church! as she walked buy, some guy shouted "Hey nice legs!" causing her to stop laughing right away. she let out a long sigh. What she gets for wearing shorts... he'd comment on the boots next if they weren't covered with the leg-peices of a pair of old red jeans she had belted just above each knee to cover her lower legs. These held her lower weights, her gloves having the weights inside the forearms.
"Thanks!" She yelled over her shoulder. "Yo... how'd you get that gash in your head?" she asked. The man, leaning against the wall of the club took a draw off a cigarette. "Gash? What Ga-" In a flash, one of the community trash cans smashed into his face, knocking him out cold. Jaxine laughed. "Ha! Foreshadowing, bitch!" she said, walking on. She turned the corner to see some green haired girl in a bight yellow dress waving her arm around like a mad-woman. She waving at me? Oh shit, do I owe her money!? What the hell happened last night!? she wondered. Then realized it was dressed to the other girl who was breathing all over the shop's window.
The redhead had good taste? She was wearing goddamn rags! The green haired one was clearly hitting the Dragon Dust... or maybe Jaxine was still a bit messed up herself and those two weren't even there... She had literally woke up in a bus-stop booth ten minuets ago, so who knows. Anyway she walked up to the two and crossed her arms. "I'd stay clear of this shop. Over-priced crap that's made by poorly waged slaves out in Gamma City. It'll start coming apart after the first wash and is far from explosion-proof." she said, station the last part as if it was a common necessity for any type of clothing. The two would then likely realize they were not the only crazy ones.

Akane continued down the sidewalk, staring longingly into each store window that she passed. As much as she wanted to try to enjoy herself, this was torture! All of those stylish new clothes and accessories that adorned each and every unappreciative mannequin... They were all right in front of her face and there wasn’t a thing she could do about it! The teenager briefly debated asking her parents for a raise in her allowance, but that meant that they would be tacking on more chores in exchange! Thanks to the invisible little twerp following her, she wouldn’t have time for that! Augh!
She shot the silent ball of invisible energy floating next to her another glare before it was interrupted by someone calling out behind her, accompanied by frantic footsteps. ”Hmm?” Akane turned around to see a woman with green hair and bright yellow eyes waving her arm and running frantically in her direction. Now what? She was about to cross her arms and give her an annoyed look since she had a bit of a ‘tude at the moment, but that was before her eyes fell upon the brand new looking dress that she was wearing. She recognized the style immediately since she had seen the same one a few times being displayed at one of the usual stores that she tended to hit up when she had the cash for it. It was a bit too frilly for her tastes and she wasn’t a huge fan of the accessories that the woman had chosen to pair with it. It gave her a very ‘girl next door’ look. Still, the teenager was so jealous!
”Only everywhere,” Akane sighed dramatically when asked if she had had any luck in finding things worth buying. Though, she couldn’t contain the small smirk that had formed on her face at the compliment. Of course she had good taste! Someone that had recognized that so quickly couldn’t be all bad. ”Like, if you want my advice though...” Akane trailed off and brought her hand to her chin, carefully looking the woman up and down so she could study her body’s shape and complexion to figure out what would work best for her. ”Yellow’s a good color. It compliments your hair and is totally in this season. Dark blues and greens would also look good on you. Monochrome is, like, ALWAYS a safe bet. Avoid polka dots and vertical stripes.”
The redhead tapped the side of her face light, trying to figure out any other advice she could give the woman with a torn shirt and long, black hair strolled right up to them and decided to give her input as well. Akane raised an eyebrow at her and tilted her head to the side, as her advice was strange as hell! ”You gotta pay top dollar if you want to follow the trends. Otherwise you’re, like, better off at a thrift shop,” Akane spouted off nonchalantly at the easier bit to address of the new woman’s comments. Clothes and accessories were kind of like hot dogs in that you were supposed to enjoy them without thinking too hard about where they came from. Mind you, when Akane finally made it big as a major star of the movie, music, or fashion worlds, she would be all about buying the more expensive, original pieces that some designers offered. She just didn’t have the major cash flow to afford it right now.
”And of course they’re gonna fall apart if you don’t wash them right. They, like, have specific care directions for a reason,” she lectured with a single hand upon her hip. You had to take care of your clothes if you expected them to take care of you. Thugh, that made her cringe at the thought of how many of her shirts, pants, and skirts were now sitting in her trash bin because of her unexpected newfound strength. It still pissed her off! Akane shot another quick glare to the right of her, where the Seishin was still floating that only she could see. Fucker...
”Erm... Explosions?” Akane finally brought up the last bit of the dark haired woman’s statement, still baffled by it. ”Why would you, like, need explosion proof clothes? It sounds more like you, like, need a different job... hobby... thing...”

Thankfully the reception was a warm one. The girl offered up her own advice, which Ohkara agreed on for the most part- however she couldn't help but grimace at the mention of monochrome, a shade she'd seen on herself much to often lately. Right now, bright colors were much more flattering to her.
She turned to the second female, quickly running an eye over her. Her taste seemed to be the exact opposite of Ohkara's; however, she did her best to not judge her by her appearance. She was quick to speak, her words raising the young lady's brow. Glancing at the window behind her she quickly contemplated the origin of the dress she was wearing, but just as she was about to dive deeper into her own thought, the newcomer said something that peaked her interest.
”Explosion proof?” she repeated, taking a small step back. Looking her over once more, Ohkara noted the trademark Saiyan tail and the condition of her tattered clothing. There was no doubt in her mind now that this woman was a fighter of some kind. Blinking, the green-haired girl pushed her judgment aside, and gave the stranger a kind smile, ”All the more reason dodge,” Unable to keep her composure, she let out a giggle at her own inside joke.
Shaking off her laughter, she turned to the redhead, ”Oh, I don't know... Sometimes that kind of stuff just sneaks up on you,” shrugging her shoulders, she added: ”Never hurts a girl to be prepared for anything, you know.”
((My apologies for the wait.))

Jaxine mimicked the redhead with her hand on her hip like a mirror image as she spoke, baffled that this one had 'clothing' set s a priority in her life. Jaxine grew up with her priority being 'survival'. Clothing had been a luxury, just like hotdogs or any other food. Scarf it down quick so someone doesn't take it and there isn't time for them to kill you. Nowadays survival was so much easier for Jaxine since those previous threats were... dealt with.
The readhead asked why she would need those kinds of clothes, Jaxine quickly responding "Oh why do you ask!? You a cop!? I ain't saying shit unless you got a warrant!" she said. She paused for a moment. "Err... yeah, force of habit... as far as my hobbies go, well... don't worry about it." she said. The green haired girl spoke more insight about being prepared for anything. "Yeah, that... works." Jaxine said.
Jaxine crossed her arms. "What I need is a job! Anyone need something or someone to stop... being? I could help. I'm good at making things not cause problems anymore, if you know what I mean. I'd also settle for any other random-ass task too, I guess."
She then noticed in the reflection of the shop window how messed up her top was. She held up two fingers, channeling a black smoky energy around them with a grin. She touched them to the underside of her torn tank top and the energy surrounded the torn edge. Within seconds, it morphed into a perfect sewn line. She could of lengthened it to cover her abdomen again, but it was hot out... and it was more work.

The brunette's reaction to the questions very odd. Raising a brow, Ohkara's left hand jumped to the handle of her umbrella, and she took a small step back. Thankfully, the sudden outburst was short-lived, and she soon calmed down. Crossing her arms, she stated she needed work; suddenly implying she could easily take someone out.
Ohkara's brow rose again, ”I-is she serious?” she silently asked herself. Skepticism towards the whole situation that unfolded itself in front of her. And just as she thought things couldn't get much weirder, the woman began to channel her ki; using it to mend her torn top. Eyes widening, Ohkara couldn't help but make a short mental note: ”Learn how to do that.
Running an eye over the craftsmanship of the mended garment, Ohkara's couldn't help but gawk, ”That's one hell of a trick!” she told her, shaking her head a little, ”As far as 'hits', I think I have that covered myself,” she said, then paused for a second, only to add, ”Buuuut, if you really don't have anything to do... maybe you could show me how you did that,” her right index finger spinning in the air before pointing to the woman's top.

"Hits!? Don't say that out loud! I dunno what you're talking about." she said. The other girl seemed to have run off. After repairing her top, the other girl seemed to have gone blank... then asked "...maybe you could show me how to do that." she asked. Jaxine just stared at her... then burst out laughing. "Yeah! Right! Teach ancient secret techniques to a total stranger. I'll get right on that." she would say, wagging her finger from side to side. "I tend to only show people that I like. Not that I don't like you, I just don't know you too well."
Her phone ringed at that point. She didn't pull one out, she just put two fingers to the side of her head. "Yo." she said. She paused for a moment, humming and hawing before she sighed. "Alright, I'll take care of it." she said, tapping her temple with a -blip- sound and turned to the woman. "Hey Greenie, ever play Grand Theft Auto? I have a truck that needs repossessing, or what not." She told the other woman.

Ohkara nodded, taking a small step back, a perfectly feigned smile on her face; if that was the case, then she'd make this woman like her, ”Oh... Right. Yeah, smart move.” she said agreed, nodding once more. Perhaps this woman was a bit off... That didn't mean that she was a bad person. Ohkara would simply try to get to know her better, and gain her trust in the process. However, the big problem was figuring out how exactly to do such a thing...
Suddenly the woman's phone rang; even thought she never produced a phone, she was able to communicate with someone. Ending the call, the woman quickly turned back to Ohkara, speaking to her now.
”Uhhh...” Ohkara's brow rose, ”My name's actually Ohkara...” she told her, then placed a finger on her lips in thought for a moment. ”Yeah, sure.” she answered, her hand waving at the air, then motioning forward, ”Lets go. Lead the way.”- This was, perhaps, a stupid move on her own part, but Ohkara was determined to earn this woman's trust, and learn her technique. Casting an eye over her clothing, she let out a sigh; it was a shame she was dressed so divinely. The chances were against her that these garments would survive. Casting one final look at her garb, she said her silent goodbyes, ”Whelp... it was nice while it lasted...”

Jaxine walked on, hearing Ohkara mutter something. "What's that, Kara? Second thoughts? Seriously there is absolutely nothing that could possibly wrong." Jaxine assured Ohkara. The two would travel to the location to ambush the truck. Jaxine had it all planned out. She was going to shove Ohkara out in front of it (early enough that the driver would see her and stop long before hitting her) and then run around behind it to rip the doors open, KO the bastards inside, and let Ohkara handle the other two. Too bad they brought a second truck full of guards and came out guns blazing...
So basically in such a short timeframe, the two would be in cover being shot at by several gangsters wielding automatic ki-assisted firearms. Jaxine sighed as if this was normal and looked at Ohkara. "Got any bright ideas? Apperently I'm pretty stupid. Also are you the killing type or the knock-them-out type?" she had to ask. Probly should of been her first question.

The situation had changed so drastically in such a short time that it was almost hard for the green-haired girl to grasp. For a moment, ducking behind a car under fire; she just stared blankly at her feet, trying to figure everything out. Who was the good guy here? Why was she even here to begin with? What the hell had she been thinking. However, she would snap back to reality as the woman spoke once more, asking a few questions of her own.
”W-wha?” she asked, shaking her head slightly as a few bullets zipped by, catching a stray strand of hair. From blankness to determination, the look on her face changed just as quickly as the situation. ”I'm not killing anyone.” she stated, raising her gaze to meet Jaxine's, ”But... I can draw their fire, if you think you're fast enough to knock them out. The faster we slim their numbers, the better.” she told her, her tone confident in her abilities.
Tapping a button on the handle of her umbrella, she unsheathed a beautiful turquoise rapier, and peaked over the side of their cover; scoping out the situation. Quickly ducking her head back as a few more bullets flew her way, she turned to Jaxine with a raised brow, ”You are fast enough, right?” she asked.
If Jaxine agreed, Ohkara would waste no time, leaping out from behind their cover and straight into the gunfire. All sights would be aimed on her, and as the bullets flew, she would spring into action, a frenzied display of acrobatics and swordplay; although there was a lot of bullets, all Ohkara had to do was deflect the ones coming towards her.

The energy packed into the bullets helped them put some pretty good dents in the car they were crouched behind. After asking how Ohkara handled people in these situations, she replied "I'm not killing anyone." as a statement, looking Jaxine right in the eyes. Jaxine put her hands up. "That's fine! Was just wondering how ya roll." she said. That's when Ohkara came up with the plan. Jaxine nodded. "Awesome. You be cannon-fodder, I do the face-smashing. Good plan." she said, noting the woman's confidence and thinking Bet she gets her head blown off in the next three seconds. just as Ohkara drew her sword from her umbrella.
Jaxine was checking the Rapier out as the green-haired one poked her head out of cover for a moment. "I see a head!" one of the gunmen yelled, as a bunch of shots rang out mere moments before Ohkara ducked back into cover. Well, so much for my theory, I guess. Jax thought. "You are fast enough, right?" Ohkara asked. Jaxine was a little bit insulted to be on the receiving end of underestimation for once. (Granted she deserved it.) "Well I guess you'll find out!" she said before Ohkara jumped put and started going all Jedi on all the incoming bullets. That was fucking awesome! Why the hell were they using cover!? Jaxine smiled. "I'll show you fast." she muttered, vanishing into a puff of smoke.
The dudes were shooting the hell out of Ohkara but were getting nowhere. "What the fuck, man! She's blocking bullets with a goddamn sword!" one yelled. "Keep shooting! We got ammo for days! She'll get tired!" another yelled. "Hey, where did the other one go?" another asked over the gunfire. On that cue, black mist drew in on itself and Jaxine appeared behind them seemingly out of nowhere. She already had her sword on her hip with one hand on the handle and the other on the shethe. She was in a near-crouched stance, ready to attack.
"SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKERS!" She roared, releasing a fast, radial slash all around her to send the bulk of the dudes flying. They were lucky she used the back of her sword on them. Those guys would likely smash into the ground or into walls as the others gambled on weather to focus on Ohkara or turn their fire on Jaxine. A couple did just that and Jaxine started deflecting bullets as well. "For fuck's sake! What is the point of us using guns!?" one asked in confused frustration. Another threw his gun down. "Yeah screw this!" He said. He reached behind some boxes and pulled out a rocket launcher. "Eat this!" he roared, firing a missile in Jaxine's direction. Having four pods to fire from, he didn't have to reload. "Got some for you too!" He just spun around and fired another at Ohkara. Jaxine's eye twitched. "God-fricken-damnit, I hate guns." she muttered as the missile closed in on her.

As she danced around the oncoming bullets, her dress twirled behind her, both stray bullets and fragments ripping through the beautiful cloth garment. By the time Jaxine got to the gunman, there was little left of the yellow and white dress. Regardless of her clothes, Ohkara was in good condition; the only real damage to the girls physique was a few small grazes on her legs and arms.
Taking advantage of the confusion the brunette had caused, the green-haired woman rushed in. Her rapier expertly slid back into it's umbrella sheath, only for her to pull the whole umbrella from her cyan belt. With a low radial slash of her own, she would send a few gunman flying herself, only to here one of the men speak to her.
Her eyes widened as she witnessed the man produce a rocket launcher, and fire a missile towards each of them. Her moment of shock, however, would not last long. Swooping down low, her legs pressed flat against the ground, one to both the front and back of her. Arching her back forwards, she would be just low enough for the rocket to pass harmlessly over her head; though that would not be enough.
Her motions as fluid as when she began deflecting the bullets, Ohkara's whole body would twist, her legs kicking out from under her; the left leg trailing just a little behind, only to light tap the very end of the rocket. Knocking the missile from it's path, it would fly high into the sky right as Ohkara completed her spin, and set her sights on the RPG-wielding man, ”The rocket-boy is mine!” she roared, her yellow eyes burning with fury.
In the blink of his eye, she would be upon him; the blunted end up her umbrella pointed towards his midsection in a violent upwards jab. If this one hit connected, it would surely knock all the fight out of a mere human civilian like him.

(I am entering here if you do not mind.) Although Famish had the opportunity to leave the city now, he decided not to take it. He instead watched the girl known as Lilac leave town in her convertible, hover car and decided he always had chances to track her down later. For the moment, he sought some excitement and found as he came from the outer edges of town back into a more central portion of the city a gun fight occurring against martial artists. He stood on a rooftop above the fighting and witnessed two women strongly oppose their attackers. One with a very muscular build swung a backhanded slash with a sword she wielded and sent a number of assailants flying. She unfortunately though had left an opening that nearly got her killed by a rocket launcher wielding bad guy until a silver haired girl jumped in with a tattered dress and kicked the incoming missile away. This missile zoomed directly in Famish's direction and in order to avoid it he had to jump backwards all the way to back of the rooftop he stood on. There was a bit of shaking that happened upon the missile's impact but as resulting explosion resided he let out a sigh of relief and thought, "What a feisty pair... Perhaps I should jump in and help the bad guys here? I could go for a nice pair of legs right now despite what the last two troublesome ladies caused me." He let a smirk form on his lips and pondered how best to make an entrance. The thought of just jumping in always seemed fun but then he automatically was going to reveal himself. He decided to go with something more fun and allowed an orange synergy of power to glow within his pupils. He immediately dashed forward to the ledge of what was left of his building and fired from above a burst of eye beams. These beams targetted the asphalt below and struck directly in the center of the battle field just as Ohkara and Jaxine were both making their next moves. He was going to reveal himself with strong sense of flair! Leaping in with one's fists was all good but only in-so-far as forcing direct contact with the people down below. This way that he was revealing himself left him barely enough time to avoid their gaze if he so wanted a.k.a hide from sight after doing what he thought might be a "noble act" in their minds. If he did this kind of thing and then came in later at the end of the fight he might just bag their overall trust.

As the piece-of-shit missile closed in on Jaxine, she simply growled before springing forward in the air. She would slam a foot down on the missile and jump on it as she quickly came closer to the man who had fired it. Out of nowhere Ohkara slams her umbrella into the man just before Jaxine kicked him into a brick wall with an airborne spinning kick. Jaxine landed beside Ohkara and casually dropped her obsidian black bladed Katana into its glossy black lacquer sheathe. The golden guard and pommel contrasted against the black handle. it stood out from the red on her outfit quite a bit.
That should of cleared up the scene of douchebags until an orange burst of energy blew up the area. Jaxine remained standing exactly where she was, unharmed and sporting her 'unimpressed' look. "God-fricken-damnit." She muttered. "I... AM TRYING... TO WORK!" She would yell. Just when she thought an easy job was pretty much over, this happens. She grinned her teeth as her Cybernetic Eyes kicked in attempting to lock onto the energy source. She managed to pinpoint it, but she was unable to get an exact numerical reading on his power-level. They needed repaired otherwise she could only 'feel' energy. She looked in the direction of the blue haired man in the white tee-shirt and jeans. "What do you want? Attention? Cause you fukn' got it. And from me... it isn't a good thing." she warned the man.
He better not be here for the truck. There was enough gun-toting morons trying to get her damn truck... That was her payday for a new Scouter. A chip out of that would return her Cyber Eyes to full functionality. If she had it right now, she would of been able to notice the man charging energy and given her the heads-up needed to grab the damn truck and take off before the dust cleared. But now she would need to fight this guy, likely. Good thing she had Ohkara and her trusty... Umbrella!? Where did that goddamn sword go!? Jaxine sighed. "gonna be one of those goddamn days."
