Celeh had gotten off the mountain and out towards the southeastern seas. She was on the shore of a small island within an archipelago. It was an uninhabited island as far as she knew, but she didn't go looking for anyone. Mostly she was just here to fish and train a little while away from the rest of civilization. To her potential dismay, however, a boat belonging to a certain blue haired surfer was on the approach just around the shoreline. Her face shifted to a mild scowl and a frown when she realized that someone else was going to roll up to her little camping spot on the beach and disrupt her solitude, but that frustration was slightly alleviated when she realized from sensing energy that it was someone she was at least partially familiar with. His energy flowed naturally much like her own, and it gave her some relief in a strange, unexplained way.
After stabbing up a couple of fish with the wooden spear she'd made, she set them on a cloth and went back to fishing. Celeh figured that if Ethan was here to talk or just drifting through, she'd let him do as he pleased. It wouldn't upset her if he popped out to chat, but she also wouldn't be upset if he kept to himself. She didn't have anything on her mind to say to him, really. Their energies were similar, but his was far more aligned with the element of water than her own. Hers mimicked water in form and flow, but not in essence and effect. His was the whole package. She surmised that it was even drinkable in emergencies, although that's something she doubted anyone had tried so far.

With the sun riding high in the sky, Ethan navigated his boat along at a leisurely pace, fully enjoying another relaxing day. He was sailing out from Metropolis Island, on his way back to his adopted home island, passing through a cluster of other islets, kays and shoals when he chanced upon one that appeared to be newly inhabited. At least it seemed that this was the case as it had not been so occupied on the first leg of his trip to Metropolis Island the week prior. Continuing to motor along, Ethan could make out someone on the shoreline. Retrieving his binoculars from the storage locker under the helm consul, he scanned the beach and examined the inhabitant in more detail. This had started to become a bit of a habit of his as he tended to meet all sorts of interesting people on the beaches he regularly sailed by, his newest friend Zayne being a good example.
His survey with the binoculars yielded much better results than just the naked eye could. The figure was a woman holding what looked to be a stick and although Ethan wasn't exactly familiar with the young lady, he recognized her after a few moments as being that same one from the event in Central City and later from Ethar's birthday party. "Well you don't see that every day, what the heck is that, a spear?" the boy asked himself and then lowered his binoculars, slipping them back into their cubby hole in the consul. Familiar with her or not, it just wouldn't be friendly if he didn't stop by and say hello, in fact it would be down right rude to just sail by without even so much as a blow from the boat's horn. Resolving to make the friendliest of the optional gestures, since it was very much in his nature to do so, Ethan slowed his houseboat to a crawl and turned towards the shore, aiming to gently beach the vessel.
By the time he was just off the beach, the young lady had added a few fish to the end of her stick and was headed back to her encampment. The Bommie, the name Ethan had chosen for his boat, road up onto the sand in the gentle surf and after he was sure it would not drift off, shut down the quietly rumbling diesel engines. Granted he didn't actually have to worry about the boat drifting anywhere, he could always fly to it or if he really wanted to show off, manipulate the sea surrounding the craft to bring the vessel back to the island. Neither seemed necessary though as the seas and breezes were gentle today and the boat was unlikely to become dislodged from the beach without a good shove, or a substantial pull from it's engines.
With his boat secure, Ethan made his way down the forward staircase to the small deck on the bow of the craft. Dressed today in just a pair of blue, camouflage swimming trunks and matching blue water shoes, he was of course, as always, shirtless though also sporting his ever present training weights. Dressed so, the boy had no compunction against hopping off the front of the boat into the two or three feet of water below and wading the rest of the way to the shore, and once there, gave Celeh a friendly wave while flashing his world brightening smile.
"Afternoon miss Celeh. Surprised to find you all the way out here." the boy greeted her once he was in earshot. "It's a nice surprise though." he added, still smiling.

It didn't take much for Celeh to realize the boat was coming in to make land. She waited patiently for Ethan to make his appearance from below deck. She assumed he had seen her and came to visit, or maybe just to question why she was out here spear fishing alone. Either way, the saiyan took a breath and gave a wave with one arm, other hand holding the wooden spear she'd made with fish still on the end. "Greetings. I would ask what brought you out here, but judging from the size and shape of that vessel, I'm guessing you live on the boat. It also makes a lot of sense given your affinity, right?" She wasn' the best at chatting, but she did feel like she was getting better at it.
"I wanted to get off that mountain and out here to get a change of scenery. Training in the mountains grows boring after a while."
The soldier set herself down on a large piece of driftwood and started cleaning the fish with a small knife she pulled out of a pocket on her hip. First she worked to descale them, but she took her time. "If you're hungry I'm sure I can catch a few more. I don't have a lot in the way of seasonings to put on them though. Only very basic flavors."

Walking up to the young lady, Ethan stood by a few paces away as he replied, though somewhat awkwardly. He knew she was one of the Saiyans and as such might have somewhat different customs, mannerisms and such, however not haven't spent much time with her people, the blue haired boy had no idea she herself considered her reply just as awkward. For all he knew it was perfectly normal for Saiyans to be so verbose. In either case it wasn't cringe inducingly awkward, just different enough to be noticed and thankfully not objectionable, though even if it were the boy was too polite to say otherwise. "Hehe!! Right on both counts..." he responded with a chuckle. "She is in fact my home, and yeah, I chose a boat way back when that nastiness with your people started so I could train and keep moving so they wouldn't find me." he continued.
"Hah! Yeah, I can see how being stuck up there all the time would get boring really fast, especially with only one boring neighbor." Ethan went on, getting a playful verbal jab at Ethar in since he couldn't defend himself. The guy really was like talking to a piece of wood sometimes, but the playful jabs were about as close to an actual insult as Ethan would ever go. Celeh went on to suggest sharing some lunch and Ethan flashed her another bright smile. "That sounds nice..." he started and then paused for a moment to consider their preparation options. "You know, I've got a full kitchen onboard if you would like to make use of it. And if you are interested, perhaps we can trade some moves after lunch." the boy continued, offering a friendly sparring match following their meal.

Celeh was never one to turn down a fight request. She had plenty of feelings that the blue haired surfer was more powerful than her, but just how much so she was uncertain. Either way, it was a valuable chance to get to see someone with ki similar to her own in action. Maybe she could see some of her own weaknesses or some hidden strengths in the way his energy flowed. "I'm not a skilled chef, unfortunately. Ohkara has been helping me with lessons and all, but I don't hold a candle to what she can cook, I'm afraid. Simple seasonings and basic utensils are still what I prefer. However, it probably would taste a bit better out of a pan with some butter than on a stick with just salt and pepper." She chuckled a bit and picked up the fish, dowsing the fire with a hefty wave of sand by kicking her foot.
"I never considered the practical applications of living on a house boat like that. Constantly moving would make you harder to track, and navigating the ocean can be a daunting task without proper training. Most soldiers in the saiyan army don't have that kind of training because there are no oceans on the moon." She explained with a matter of fact tone. "I never was. Only after living on Earth for a few years have I learned anything about navigating any body of water larger than a small lake." She picked up her spices, too, and held the fish in one arm. All half dozen of the deboned and descaled fish fit on her wooden skewer. "Whenever you're ready, take the lead."

"Oh nonsense, I'm sure you're just fine." Ethan replied to Celeh's self deprecation about her cooking skills. He was however quite pleased that she agreed to join him for lunch. Standing by as she gathered her things, Ethan smiled again as the conversation ranged towards his boat and skills as a navigator. "Heh, well once you know the basics it's not all that hard. Most important things to have are a compass and a map. And yeah, moving around a lot does help with staying hidden." the boy replied and started off towards the boat with Celeh. As they approached the craft, Ethan regarded the young woman for a moment, she was still dressed for the fishing she'd been doing but he didn't really know if she wanted to get wet again, wading through the water jut to get to the Bommie. So as they walked, and given his propensity to show off, the teen out stretched his arm, closed his fist and then opened it, using the physical motion to take control of the water immediately surrounding the boat and then literally parting it in a path right to the craft's bow. True the sand was still wet, but the water had originally been about three feet deep and wading through that with their lunch in tow likely wasn't either of their ideas of fun.
"Step right onboard madam and take the staircase right there up to the upper deck." the boy cheerily announced and they arrived at the boat, his one hand still occupied holding back the water and he offered his other to the young lady to help her up. True, Celeh was that strong, silent, independent type of woman who likely wouldn't accept the offered hand, but it was offered just the same since the teen's mother had always taught the boy classic chivalry, one of the few lessons that actually stuck. Once they were on the bow deck, hand accepted or not, Ethan would release his hold on the water surrounding boat, allowing it to rush back in around the bow. The force likely wouldn't be strong enough to dislodge the craft from the shore, but even if it did, he could always start the engines up again after lunch and beach it once more.
Ascending the forward staircase, the two would find before them, the pilot's consul and seat, then directly aft of that, the octagon shaped kitchenette with seating around several of it's sides, a full dining table further back and then finally the sun deck with two lounge chairs. Ethan of course made strait for the kitchen to rummage through one of the under counter cupboards and produce the pan Celeh had mentioned, setting it down on the stove before giving way for the young lady. "Let me know if you need anything, or if you want I'd be happy to help with those." the boy stated and leaned back against the counter, folding his arms up behind his head in one of his characteristic poses.

His words about her potential cooking skills were flattering, but her ego really wasn't related to her cooking ability, so it didn't affect her very much. Still, based on what she knew already about cooking she could agree that knowing the basics really did open up lots of possibilities. Celeh climbed the stairs casually and headed into the kitchenette of the ship. It was roomier than she expected, but she certainly wouldn't complain about that.
His little display earlier flaunting his control over the element of water didn't go unnoticed, but it was a topic of conversation she planned to address while they were eating. "For now I think this is more than enough. Just point me to your spice rack and I'll be able to make a meal that both of us can be satisfied with." She glanced around the place once more and began preparing the fish a bit more while she waited for his direction on the spice rack location.
"How did you learn to control the water like that?" She blurted it out.

Leaning back against the counter as Celeh familiarized herself with the kitchenette, Ethan paused in his thoughts when she asked him about his spice wrack. Well that certainly was in interesting question, and truth be told, it wasn't so much a wrack as it was a cabinet in the main kitchen downstairs. “Heh, well it's actually not up here, and it's more of a collection in a cabinet downstairs.” the boy replied with a chuckle. “And yeah, I'm sure lunch is going to be great.” he added, bringing his arms down and starting for the stairs.
Celeh's next question, about his ability to manipulate water, was one he got surprisingly often, but seeing as he was already in motion, the boy paused a moment and turned back. “Haha! A good question and one I will answer in just a minute. Relax a bit and let me go get those spices first.” the shirtless teen replied and continued on towards the rear stairs. Whether Celeh actually wanted to relax or kept right on working on the fish, Ethan darted downstairs and as quick as he could, rummaged through the proper cabinet until he had a few bottles of flavorings he thought most appropriate for their lunch. Then with bottles in tow, the young man headed back up to the upper deck and returned to Celeh.
“Here we go, got a bunch of these, not exactly sure what you want to use.” he stated, setting the bottles that were currently pinned against his chest by one arm, down on the counter one at a time. Once all of them were laid out, he looked up and smiled. “Now as for the whole water thing, well, I learned the basics about two years ago, back when my brother and I were running a martial arts school in Central. It actually came quite naturally and I've always liked swimming and playing in the water. Actually, I still remember the day I figured it out, pretty clearly. My brother and I weren't on good terms at the time and we were arguing. The water in a pond responded to my mood, and after that it just became easier and easier to manipulate.”

His response about the spices didn't surprise her at all. If he'd been living on this boat for a while then it made sense that he would have at least a small store of food and supplies in case of emergencies, especially with him having used the vessel as a means of escape and hiding originally. She kept silent and continued slicing and preparing all the fish she'd gathered earlier, making the final touches and heating some margarine in a pan on the stovetop.
"So it responded to your feelings? Is that how you always fight, too? With your emotions as a propelling force to your attacks?" She was more focused on cooking even as she was asking this, and she sprinkled three different bottles' ingredients over the fillets and set them in the pan to fry.
"Do you prefer seared or fully cooked? I originally just seared them, but lately I've been more prone to fully cook them now that I have spices and the skill to cook properly." She still felt odd doing casual conversation with anyone but Ohkara, but this was a start.

"Ah, actually I'd say the opposite. The emotion was just raw and all it did was ripple the water in the pond. The stuff I do with water now is all done with focus and discipline." Ethan explained, answering Celeh's question as to whether he fought with emotion as the fuel for his power over water. "I know I look like the last guy in the world who can focus on anything but my brother called me a savant when it comes to this stuff... 'Course I think he used a dirtier word then that at the time. But anyway, when I want to I can really focus my will and energy. Sure, having a little kick from being angry can help but most of the time it just gets in the way when I am trying to do something really complicated." Ethan continued at some length, leaning back against the counter while he went on, almost absentmindedly babbling on about his technique.
"I can't imagine having the focus to split water into hydrogen and oxygen while pissed off, but I did it once while I was having a good time, so perhaps enjoying one's self might help a little more than being angry... In either case, at least for me, it's all much more about self control and zen type stuff when I manipulate water, for the complicated things, as I said. For just grossly powerful stuff though, like smashing someone with a water fist, anger might work pretty well, but I don't think it would ever beat out being calm and focused." the teen added, making the explanation as articulate as he could.
"Oh fully cooked, thanks." the blue haired boy replied, responding to Celeh's follow-up question as to how he preferred his fish to be cooked. "And thank for lunch if I haven't said it already. Can I get you anything to drink from the fridge?" he went on. "I've got water, fruit juices, cola, not sure what kind."

Ethan response and explanation to Celeh about how he controlled and manipulated water and what fueled his ability to do so made a lot of sense to her. In almost every respect it sounded much like the way she controlled her own energy. Focus, patience, and a cool head almost always prevailed. It wasn't always as easy for her to maintain control as it may have appeared on the surface, but nobody else really needed to know that at the moment.
"My energy flows like water, and my methods and motivations for controlling it seem eerily similar to your own control of water... but my energy is not water. It explodes and smashes and sears and blasts just like anyone else's energy. I do not force it to move and shape like water, at least not consciously so."
Her words stopped in response to his question of a drink. The saiyan nodded, "I'll take some fruit juice. Whatever type you think may best suit the meal. Dinner will take a few extra minutes to cook if we're going fully cooked anyway." She glanced to the frying fish in the pan and then back to the blue haired man, "Don't worry about it. I'm sure you'd do the same for me."

"Probably a grape punch maybe." Ethan suggested, figuring it was the closest thing to a white wine he had. He was pretty sure he'd hear something about fish and white wine going together, of course that fact that the grape punch was made from assorted grapes, almost all of which were not white, he could be making a potentially horrible selection, at least as far as a stuffy gourmet was concerned. It really didn't matter to him, he liked the taste and if it clashed a little with the fish the teen didn't have the cultured taste buds to know it. Opening up the fridge and fishing around until he found the bottle, Ethan put it up on the counter and then retrieved a pair of glasses from the cupboard and finally poured.
"That's interesting about your energy being so destructive. I have to really push to get mine to do anything dangerous, and even then it doesn't have any range." Ethan replied. "I'll be sure to give you a demonstration after lunch. " the shirtless boy added with a cheeky smile as he set their glasses down on the dining table and then returned the bottle to the fridge. "So how are we looking there anyway?"

She went over to the oven and opened it up at last. The saiyan used a bit of energy to shield her hand so she could pick the pan up without burning herself. Celeh set the pan on the table and took a deep breath to get a nice smell of the freshly baked fish fillets. The light seasoning she'd given them really shined through now that they were finished cooking. "We are looking pretty good, I think. Smelling good, too." She didn't mean to make it sound as if she were praising her own cooking, but the pleasant aromas that filled his boat's kitchen were appetizing to say the least.
"I'm sure the juice will be just fine. I don't know about you, but my palette is not a refined one. I was raised on whatever was available at the time." Celeh sat down at the table once their drinks were ready. She promptly put some food onto her plate and took a deep breath. She was sort of at a loss for what to talk about now that he'd already offered to make a little demonstration for her after dinner...so she decided to ask what he knew about her for starters. "What do you know about me? What has Ohkara told you, I mean?"" Part of her wondered how much Ohkara told them in order to get them to trust her...and the other part wondered if they just trusted her because Ohkara vouched for her and nothing more. Either way, she'd find out for sure now...and maybe give Ethan a little more insight into why she was here and what she wanted to fight for. Maybe, just maybe, she'd explain her past to him from before she met Ohkara, too, although she couldn't be sure if he'd even believe such an outlandish story.

"Well grape it is then." Ethan responded cheerily and returned to the table after having put the bottle of juice away. He could smell the cooking fish the entire time and nodded in complete agreement, things looked and smelled great. Seating himself as Celeh did likewise, the shirtless, blue haired teen waited for his guest to server herself first and then proceeded to do the same, selecting a few choice fillets and then taking a first sampling bite before he continued with their conversation. "Mmmm, this is actually really good miss Celeh." the boy beamed with an accompanying smile. He took another bite and washed it down with some juice which surprisingly wasn't as revolting a combination as he had imagined, then looked up to answer Celeh's question.
"Well, to tell the truth, not a whole heck of a lot actually." Ethan started. "I've only met you the two times, the incident in the city and then again at Ethar's party. It's kind of why I was so insistent on hanging out once I realized who you were, so we could actually get to know each other, you know, outside of battling space monsters or attending awkward parties." the boy went on and chuckled. "I mean I know you're a stand up kind of gal, you helped us out with that Zarbon guy. And Ohkara seems to like you so I know you're not a jerk. Other than that though you're completely new to me." Ethan paused and then returned the question. "What about the other way around? Ohkara tell you anything about me?"

Ethan's response regarding what he knew about her or what Ohkara had told him was suitable enough. At the very least it appeared as if he trusted her because Ohkara trusted her. The feeling was mutual, although the green haired woman hadn't really given her anything concrete to go off of save for that she was friends with them and trusted then, too. "Unfortunately Ohkara didn't tell me a lot about either of you as far as personality quirks or social mannerisms. She just assured me that you were trustworthy and competent fighters. She trusts you, and that's enough for me. Your showing against Zarbon, as you called him, was proof enough, too. You'll have to forgive me if I seem distant or stiff. Social gatherings aren't something I was trained on." She went back yo eating for a moment or two, debating on how to explain her past to him. After a brief moment and a quick breath, she blurted out, "I'm surprised that she didn't tell you I died before. Before the saiyan attacked Earth I was sent on a suicide mission with the crown Prince to a planet called Mmement Mor. It was just the two of us against the home planet of the universal church of one. I didn't survive the battle...nor did the planet, or so I was told."
