Race: Human
Age: 17
Racial Traits:
Fast Learner - Humans have the ability to adapt very quickly to situations. By being able to do this humans have a knack for learning techniques quicker than most. Humans are able to learn a move every 4000 pl instead of 5000 pl.
Suppression - Humans are the only known race to naturally posses the ability to suppress their power level in a manner to hide their strength. Humans start with Ki Suppression as a free technique.
Humans start with four techniques in addition to Ki Supression.
Techniques
Due to her heritage, any ki expelled from Akane's body immediately ignites into flames. This makes basic ki blasts and all such attacks appear to be on fire. This is only for rp flavoring and provides no actual mechanical bonus in battle.
-Ki suppression(FREE): The user is allowed to suppress their ki to half of their current max power level.
-Advanced Ki Suppression: The user is allowed to suppress their ki to 1% of their current max power level. The user must have ki suppression first in order to learn this move.
-Fire Ball: The energy for this attack materializes as a ball of flames in one hand. Akane grips her wrist with the other. The attack is then hurled like a ball at the opponent, and can be made to home in on the opponent. (as Spirit Ball)
-Burning Breath: Akane inhales sharply, building up energy in her thoracic diaphragm. She then lets it loose as a stream of intense flames from her mouth. (as Mouth Blast)
-Kick-Slap: Akane jumps into the air to deliver a total of two kicks in rapic succession to her opponent. The first is a roundhouse kick to potentially throw them off balance. The second is a powerful front kick to potentially knock them away. (reference)

Description:
Akane has a wiry build thanks to her dedication to her school's track team. It's the type of build that generally wouldn't come off as impressive to a seasoned fighter, but she's pretty fit for a high school kid, especially considering her love of junk food. Her hair is almost always seen tied up so that it stays out of her face. She enjoys wearing new, trendy outfits whenever she can and always seems to be buying more clothes and accessories. This is true now more than ever since her new strength has made her wardrobe suffer some significant misfortune.Weight: 118lbs

History
The plethora of dimensions scattered throughout existence hold a great deal of strange and mysterious races. The natives of one such dimension were beings attuned to the elements and carried a penchant for magic known as the Shizen. They had a general humanoid shape to them, but all had ashen skin, bristly brown hair, and four arms. It was a peaceful race of people that were broken up into a large number of clans, each with their own unique abilities. This dimension was also inhabited by the servants of the Shizen, the Seishin. These small creatures were essentially sapient balls of glowing energy with limited magic capabilities, conjured up by their masters to fulfill various roles in society.
The clan most relevant to this story in particular was the Kikomi, which was made up of Shizen with an affinity for fire and favored physical strength just as much as using magic. Times were tough for the Kikomi clan. A mysterious illness had broken out among their bloodline, causing them to slowly die off. The Seishin that served this clan were all in the process of seeking work elsewhere or simply fading from existence. All except for one, who had been fiercely loyal to the Kikomi over the long period of time it had spent in their service and was absolutely devastated by the thought that their line was simply going to cease to exist. It couldn’t do a single thing about the illness that was taking them though.
However, as luck would have it, the current head of the clan reached out to the servant while he was on his death bed. He spoke of one of the sons of the Kikomi clan that disappeared centuries ago due to being unhappy with not being the first born, and therefore not being in line to become the head of the family. Before he vanished, that son claimed that he would be using his magic to seek an entirely new dimension where his abilities would be more appropriately appreciated. That declaration was the last any of his clan had ever heard of him. If the loyal Seishin truly wanted to keep the Kikomi line going, it would need to find out where the lost son had ended up and learn what had become of him. It was a long shot to say the least to even think that somewhere out there that the bloodline had carried on through that son’s possible non-Shizen descendants, but it was the best chance that the lone Seishin had.
The Seishin had its work cut out for it. The trail of the lost son wasn’t an easy one to follow in the first place, and it wasn’t exactly fresh at this point. It took year upon years and as much magic as the living sphere of energy could muster, but eventually it was able to pick up small traces of the Kikomi bloodline’s weakened presence to a planet in a different dimension. That planet was Earth. This was it! The faint signature of the Kikomi family was radiating from a single person there. It was faint, but it was definitely there. The one that was giving off the presence of that bloodline was a human by the name of Honoo Akane.
Akane was a typical teenager growing up in the heart of Central City. She was on her high school’s track team and loved spending every last bit of free time she had out shopping or grabbing a burger with her ‘girls’. She lived as an only child with her mom and step dad that she liked to occasionally throw attitude at; her real dad had died when she was young in a car accident. Other than the tragic family death, she was the poster child of an average teenage girl. At least, up until a mysterious glowing orb appeared in front of one night before bed and claimed that she was a descendant of a recently deceased family of extra dimensional beings.
Akane shrieked at the top of her lungs as the strange creature hovered inches over the top of her bed. She didn’t know what the hell was going on, but she wasn’t having any of it! The Seishin tried to calm the girl down, explaining that there was nothing to fear, but Akane was practically hysterical at this point. This was just too weird! The commotion caused her mom and step dad to come bursting into her room. However, when Akane pointed out the strange glowing orb, neither of them had a clue what she was talking about. The Seishin explained that it was using magic to conceal its presence; Akane was the only one that could see or hear it for the moment. Now worried that her parents would think she had gone insane, or that she really had gone insane, she hesitantly waved them away and insisted that she had just woken up from a nightmare. Satisfied with the answer, they both left quietly after bidding her goodnight.
Once the coast was clear, Akane gave the orb a dirty look. She made it clear that it was just a figment of her imagination; whatever it was going on about was nothing but bullshit and she wasn’t interested. The Seishin agreed to depart. However, not before using its magic to awaken the dormant Shizen blood within her. There was no mistaking the fact that the girl was clearly a human. Any traces of her ancestor’s abilities within her weren’t going to be all that impressive compared to a pure blooded Shizen. However, this was the closest it was ever going to get in its quest to preserve the Kikomi ways and line. It wasn’t about to give up just because Akane was skeptical.
The teenager’s skin felt all tingly when she woke up the next morning. Something was wrong with her. Did it have something to do with that weird light that had visited her last night? No, it couldn’t have been. She had convinced herself that it had all just been her imagination. That was the last time Akane ate at the shady pizza place downtown for dinner. They probably did something weird to the food.
Any indication that what was going on was all in her head were slowly starting to vanish before Akane even got to school. She went through at least two shirts and three pairs of jeans trying to get dressed, tearing them like they were made of tissue paper just trying to get them on. Were her clothes really that worn that they’d rip so easily? It sucked big time, but she chalked it up to bad luck. Then at breakfast she ended up bending the silverware without even noticing. Two completely unrelated incidents like that back to back was a little worrisome, but Akane kept telling herself that nothing was wrong.
It only got worse when she got to class, which she happened to make it to in record time. Pencils and pens were breaking the moment she put even the smallest amount of pressure on them, she had to sit out during P.E. because she accidentally ripped her gym clothes, and even in jeans she manages to run laps around the rest of the track team at the end of the day without even breaking a sweat. As reluctant as Akane was to admit it, there was no more denying that something strange was definitely going on here.
That night, as Akane lie awake in her bed starting at the ceiling, the Seishin appeared before her once more. If it had possessed a neck, the teenager’s first move would be to try to strangle the little bastard! Whatever it had done to her had turned her into a freak and ruined her life! There may have been some perks to being super strong, but how was she supposed to become a famous actress, model, or singer like this?! She didn’t want to turn into one of those muscle-bound weirdos that participated in the World Martial Arts Tournament!
Akane demanded in a low voice that the glowing orb turn her back to normal. However, her heart sunk when the odd creature informed her that this was normal for her now. It said that it had merely unlocked the abilities that had been bestowed upon her by her prestigious heritage. It couldn’t simply be turned off. What?! She was going to be stuck like this for the rest of her life?! Akane didn’t who or what this orb was anymore! It was so dead!
The distressed teen took a swipe at the Seishin, only to watch it go right through its spherical body like it was some sort of hologram. She was promptly told that its kind couldn’t be harmed through physical means, much like they could only interact with the world around them through magic. She was stuck with super strength that she hadn’t wanted in the first place and she couldn’t even use it to take her anger out on the thing that screwed her over! Akane pressed a pillow to her face and screamed in frustration, careful not to attract the attention of her parents like she had the night before.
The Seishin said that all was not lost. Since it wanted to carry on the Kikomi lineage and see it prosper, it could instruct her on how to control this newfound strength of hers. The amount of Shizen blood she had within her was far too weak for Akane to ever hope to do any actual magic of her own, but she still had quite a bit of potential to be amazingly strong if she worked at it, and even carried her ancestor’s ability to manipulate fire if she honed her skills.
Akane groaned. She was already sick of this Seishin thing. Now it wanted to stick around? But if she didn’t accept its’ offer, she wouldn’t be able to figure out how to reign in her freakish strength. Her poor wardrobe would end up suffering for it. With a sigh, the teenager reluctantly agreed to be mentored by the glowing orb as long as he didn’t get in the way of her normal life. This was weird and all, but she wasn’t going to become a drop out over this!
Why did she get the feeling that a ‘normal’ life was nothing more but a distant memory for her now?
