Ethar was packing away his belongings into capsules which he would put into an Earthling backpack.
However as he was packing his bag, the corner of his sight wandered over to the grave site where the girl he considered a daughter. This caused him to sigh a bit, as he felt even more guilty. Everything happened because of him. Summers was gone. His home was destroyed. He had to right the wrongs he had committed.
It was then his ears picked up a strange sound in the yard which caused him to turn around. He saw a familiar cube shaped object, and a door opening up.
Out of the door, a familiar figure emerged with a smile on his face. Ethar sighed and rolled his eyes as he greeted the figure "Hello Whis. Nice to see you again." He said as the angel stopped behind him. "Leaving after all that has happened Ethar? How come?" He asked the duke who just kept resuming his packing up. "Yes Whis, I have things that need to attended to at home. And I cant protect Earth anymore, as previous evidence clearly shows that Im more of a threat to it then anything else." He said, as the angel just stood behind him shaking his head.
"So you would abandon your friends becuase your scared?" He asked Ethar, who stopped what he was doing. Hearing that caused him to freeze in place. He dropped the capsules he had in his hand and turned to face the angel. "Hell yes Im scared Whis. Terrified. Im not strong enough to protect them from my own mistakes." He said as he pointed to Summers's gravebed. "If that isnt proof enough of my failures, I dont know what would be." He added as he turned around and clenched his fists. "Besides, Im needed at home... Who I know, thats my business."
Whis actually smiled at Ethar's admission why he was really leaving. And he had a possible answer to his issue. "What if I had a way you could increase your powers even more, and help your friends?" He asked, wondering how the young man would react.
This caught Ethar's attention again, as he looked back towards the Angel. "Im listening..."
Whis's staff phased into view, as he created two chairs for the two to sit on and gestured Ethar to join him as he sat on one chair. Ethar was puzzled as to what Whis was getting at and sat down on the seat beside him.
"Now Ethar, I want to ask you... Your Culture has its own set of Gods for various different aspects of your daily life, correct? You can feel their presence?" He asked, and this question made Ethar all the more confused. What would the gods and goddesses of Nor have to do with him becoming stronger?
"Well, Yeah... Its their life force we have grown accustomed to, that also helps plants and animals grow healthy and allows our world to grow and prosper." Ethar replied, and Whis nodded to him. "Well Ethar, what if I were to tell you, that that very energy has been storing in your body since the day you were born as well." He added, which made Ethar's eyes go wide.
Wit ha look of complete disbelief, Ethar said to him "Has Lord Beerus knocked a few screws loose? Or is Gokus stupidity started to rub off on you?" but those words made Whis look displeased. "No need to insult me Ethar. But what I say is true. While Noran physiology has evolved to ignore the altering effects of this energy, You are not all Noran. Are you?" The angel continued as Ethar started to change his look of disbelief to one of curiosity. "Well.... Yeah, Im half-saiyan. My Father was a Saiyan." Ethar replied, and that was where Whis held up a finger to silence Ethar.
"Exactly... Have you heard of a Super Saiyan God?" He asked the duke, letting him speak again. The term was never heard of by Ethar, whom asked "A Super Saiyan God? Such a thing doesnt exist surely. Saiyans only look to Lord Beerus as their god."
Whis nodded in response as he replied "You are partially correct. But Super Saiyan God is actually much like a transformation that utilizes God Ki." as he took his staff and pointed it to Ethar as he added "That same energy your gods were emitting is that of the same Ki that a Super Saiyan God would use. It just sleeps inside you, waiting for the time to awaken."
Whis nodded in response as he replied "You are partially correct. When Whis was finished, Ethar just started to laugh. He had never heard of such a thing before in his life. "Ha ha ha, Surely you jest Whis. Are you saying that becuase of my father, his blood, it gives me the chance to become such a being?" Ethar asked, as his look of curiosity changed to a completely different look of disbelief. Had Whis really lost it? It sure seemed like it.
But then something clicked in his mind. Some blocks in his mind seemed to fall into place. Ethar Luxun. He was named after a Noran god. And because of his father.... Did his mother know that by creating a child, something like this could happen? Could this of been the reason his mother had kept him hidden from his radical uncle who feared Hybrids with Noran blood?
Did his mother foresee a child of her blood ascending to a state that none before him done before?
This was making Ethar's head spin a bit, as he was glad he was sitting down. "Ive seen your childhood Ethar. Ive seen what your mother has done since before she even met your father. She is certainly a crafty woman to have formulated such a plan all on her own, and with your fathers help. But yes. Its becuase of your parents, you can become Universe Seven's next Super Saiyan God in over hundreds of years since Goku and Vegeta." Whis said, as Ethar didnt know that His mentor, and the Saiyan prince had achieved godhood status.
He had alot to think of, but his memories of history tried to remind him of the last few decades of history that involved Goku and Vegeta. His head was hurting as it tried to process new information, and he shook his head. " I know it is alot to take in Ethar, but this is the way to becoming stronger that I mentioned earlier. Now, Mind you your body would have to adjust itself to fully utilize God Ki, since your Noran half will actually hinder the development. So you will not be as powerful as Goku or Vegeta, but you can obtain godhood.." Whis said as he let Ethar process the information more.
Ethar started to ignore the information that his brain was trying to sort, as he said "So how do I awaken the God Ki in my body?" and this question took Whis by surprise. Sure, he was expecting Ethar to ask, but not as soon as he did. A bit awestruck by Ethar's sudden enthusiasm, He replied "Normally, A saiyan would need the life force of 5 pure hearted Saiyans. Atleast, that is one way to ascend to Super Saiyan God. However, seeing as that you have the Ki already, we just need to awaken it." Whis said as he started to look into the top of his staff, which started to glow, as if he was looking for something.
It was some time later, that Whis finally looked at Ethar and asked him "Do you know of the 'Evigilans Meam' Ritual?" and as soon as Whis asked him this, Ethar's eyes went wide. Yes, He had heard of the ritual, but it involved the highest levels of Spirit and Blood magics that only the elder council of Nor knew of since it was 'forbidden'. Or so he thought. "By your reaction, I would say you do. I believe in the Galactic basic tongue, Evigilans meam means Soul Awakening, which is actually quite fitting. If What I found out about the Ritual is correct, The Ritual can be performed with you, and another person of Divine stature. Which, lucky for you, you have an Angel right here to help you."

Tossing it on the ground, a large bookcase appeared in smoke as Whis then used his staff to bring out an old book from the shelf. "Ah yes, this is the book." He said as he blew some dust off of its pages after opening it up.

"Oh my Ethar, you really should take better care of these tomes. They are thousands and thousands of years old. Im amazed you haven't taken better care of them." He said as he waved his hand around to get the dust out of his face. Ethar felt a bit guilty for not looking after such ancient tomes, but he had been so busy the last few years, he couldn't really be blamed. After looking at the book for a few moments, using his staff to flip through the pages, he then hands the book to Ethar to look at.
Upon looking at it, it seemed Ethar would need to do the Blood Magic part of the ritual, while Whis would take care of the Spiritual part. Easy enough. Though after his fight with Frieza, Ethar didnt really want to see alot of his blood again, but it seemed he wouldnt have much choice in this matter. Reading his part of the ritual, Ethar walked over to an open area of his yard that didnt have debris and stood near the middle of it. He then looked up to Whis who was following him and asked "Why are you helping me do this Whis?" The Angel laughed to himself as he replied "Oh ho ho, Dont get me wrong Ethar. Having you become stronger is only a part of what will lie before you. Im just helping you, because without this ability, things will be much tougher for you in the future. Plus, Lord Beerus asked me to help out, since he didn't like having such a low universal rating with... Well, I will tell you that another day. Shall we begin?" He asked Ethar, who nodded to the Angel and looked back into the book.
Reading the book, he memorized the pentagram he would have to make, and place the book open on the ground and looked at his right hand, He looked to a nearby rock and walked over to it and grabbed a sharp piece. He knew he'd have to work quickly for the ritual, as any cuts on him would heal quickly, and cause disaster for him and probably cost him his life.
Walking back over to the book and looked at Whis. "Yeah, Lets do it." Ethar said as he quickly sliced his hand open, flinching in paint as he quickly set to work on creating the pentagram on the ground. It almost took him a good 5 minutes to make the markings on the ground, and he barely made it in time before the pain in his hand had subsided, and the cut had pretty much healed. "How Gruesome. Are you alright Ethar?" Whis asked as he gasped seeing so much of Ethar's blood on the ground. Ethar nodded and quickly looked at the book once more on teh ground. It told him that he would have to stand in the center of the Pentagram, and that is where Whis would take over. "Well, Here goes nothing...." He said as he walked into the Pentagram.
With each step he took, the lines on the ground glowed brighter and brighter until he was in the center. Ethar read that such a Pentagram was always the base for a blood ritual, so hopefully he did it right. Standing in the center, he watched as Whis held his staff up high above the Pentagram. It seemed to start to react to Whis's staff, as the orb at the end began to glow the same red as the Pentagram that Ethar was standing in. Something felt off about the Ritual as his body start to feel tingly all over. "Whis, Somethings not right...." He said, as Whis chuckled. "Not to worry Ethar. If something goes amiss, I will just rewind time a short bit and stop the Ritual." He said, as Ethar nervously gulped.

A Scream that could be heard for miles around the mountain as a pillar of Red Light shot up from the Pentagram, Engulfing the Duke.

For Ethar, the Pain suddenly stopped. He couldnt feel anything at all!
Infact, he felt much lighter then he did before. It was a very strange feeling.
The Red light subsided, and his eyes readjusted themselves as he saw Whis with a smile on his face. "Well Well, The Ritual was a success. These turn of events is quite fortunate." He said, as Ethar was puzzled. Was he a god now? He didnt feel much different, other then feeling a bit lighter. "I dont feel any different really... " He said, as he looked at himself. He could see his aura a bit now, as it looked like it was fire that had engulfed him. Then what Whis said ticked in Ethar's head, as he looked at the Angel "Wait what? These turn of Events? Did you expect it to not work?!" He asked him and glared at the Angel.
"Well, there was always the possibility. But look at the bright side, It worked."
Hearing Whis's words, Ethar went back to looking at himself. He seemed to be a shy bit thinner then normal, but without a mirror, he couldnt see how much he had changed. Remembering that Whis said that Super Saiyan God was a like a transformation, he closed his eyes and focused on powering down, even though he didnt really feel anymore powered up then he did in his X2 form.

Luckily, it had worked as he felt like his normal self again. The firey aura was gone, and he felt a bit heavier like he used to. "Whoa... That is sure something... I cant wait to tell the others.... But I still have to go back to Nor to get things sorted out." He said as he looked over to the Angel. Whis smiled once more as he tapped his staff and the door to the travelling cube opened up. "The wheels of your fate have begun to turn Ethar. Only you will be able to dictate when it stops turning. Lord Beerus and I, along with Goku and Vegeta will be watching your future progress very closely. We look forward to it." He said as he floated up and drited to the travel cube.
"Thank you Whis. I wont forget what you have done. Ill be sure to visit someday again soon!" Ethar said as he waved to Whis, who entered the cube, and both seemingly vanished instantly.
Now alone on the mountain, Ethar was still a bit in disbelief as to what had just happened. It felt like a dream, but part of it didnt. He knew that once he was back home on Nor, He would have to talk with his mother about the recent events that had happeend, as well as many other questions that boggled his mind. But first, he had to repack his belongings, and head to Ethans Boat to talk to him about leaving, then he would have to talk to Celeh.
He remembered that she wanted to talk to Ethar... in private... in her home... This made Ethar very nervous...
It was the first time a woman that he loved invited him to her home....
Things were going to get interesting.

Ethar's Monarch Tier Ability
God Ki
Unlocked by a dangerous blood ritual with help from Whis, Ethar's body has been fully awakened and now utilizes God Ki to access upgraded SAIYAN transformations. However, His Noran blood acts to hinder the performance of God Ki until it is better adapted to the new alternate source of power. However, His hybrid body is only mortal, and burning through the God Ki can weaken Ethar's body to dangerous, even fatal levels.

+2 to Saiyan and X2 Transformations only. Increases by 1 per every 50K PL. *
