Ethar was happily cleaning up dishes after making a large breakfast for himself as he saw snow was falling outside of his window. Summers had gone out already for the day, going to do who knows what, ethar did not keep tabs on her that much. As long as she returned home safely, that is all that matters.
He was finishing up drying the dishes off when he noticed something aglow in his shirt pocket. “What the?” He asked himself as he reached in and grabbed the object. It was his Multiverse crystal that had powered up.
“Oh boy… I guess Whis was right, it was going to re---” He started to say, but before he could finish his sentence, his sight was blinded by a bright light from the crystal, as he felt his body feeling weightless, but felt solid ground again a moment later.
His eyes adjusted slowly as he put the crystal into his pocket as he started to wonder where he was. He recognized the planets in the sky, and the reddish nebula looking sky that they were in. Looking at the local fauna, it reminded him where he was, but just before it really clicked in Ethar’s mind, He saw that someone was actually standing there, waiting for him…
Whis…
“Right on schedule Ethar. And right on target as well, my assumptions were correct.” He said with a smile. He was expecting Ethar?
This made him a bit confused, as he remembered his theory about the Multiverse crystals. “Ah, Whis. A pleasure to see you again. I take it you know that these crystals basically bookmark the users last location in time and space, and always returns the user to that location when its used again?” Ethar asked as Whis nodded in reply.
“Correct, and since I teleported you to Lord Beerus’s planet, you will no longer be able to disturb any timelines with your crystal.” He said, and Ethar actually sighed a bit in relief. He didn’t have to pussyfoot his way around timelines anymore since he was on Beerus’s planet. But he remembered how hot tempered Beerus himself could be and actually started to get worried. Whis saw the distress Ethar was starting to come under, and waved his hand, for he knew exactly what was going on. “Fear not, Lord Beerus is asleep right now. However, Vegeta and Goku are here, training. I have them wearing some suits that are much heavier then they are used to.” He said, as Ethar seemed to perk up that Goku and Vegeta were on Beerus’s planet as well, and the idea of Whis training them got him to be jealous.
“Oh? Are you jealous? Hmhmh, Even though your saiyan genes are dormant, I can already sense your desire to become stronger…. However, Your power is not strong enough to ‘roll with the big boys’. But I do have an idea.” He said, as his staff appeared into view and he looked into his staff. Ethar could hear his own voice, though he couldn’t see what was going on. He heard the talk about Frieza coming to Earth, and what they could do to possibly stop him.
“If you want to defeat Frieza so badly… Why don’t you?” Whis asked as he smiled. Ethar looked a bit shocked at what Whis was asking him to do, and before he could say anything, his vision faded to white. “Wait!” Ethar said, but he couldn’t sense Goku or Vegeta, or any of the divine energy anymore.
Soon, the light faded to reveal he was seemingly back on Planet Namek. “What the? Whis? WHIS! Where am I?” Ethar asked as he looked around. He tried to sense out any of their energies, but couldn’t find any of them. However, there was only one energy he could sense… and it terrified him.
“Well well well… Seems like today wont be a boring one afterall.” He heard a voice say, and Ethar turned to face who it belong to, and almost stopped dead in his tracks. He saw an Icerian in a floating chair talking to him, and he instantly knew who it was.
“F-Frieza?!” Ethar asked, as the Icerian grinned and climbed out of the clair, and leapt down to the ground and bowed to Ethar. “I see my illustrious reputation has kept my name known in the known universe.” He said as he bowed.
“You don’t know me yet, but I was the one who helped kill Dodoria long time ago. And I was the one who killed Zarbon in my universe.” Ethar said, as Frieza merely laughed. “Oh you are, are you? Lets see if you are right…” He said as he took out a scouter and placed it on his head. It scanned Ethar, reading his power level and his race. “Power level One Hundred Thousand. Race…..YOU’RE A HALF SAIYAN?!” He started to shout, and Ethar knew right then… He was fucked.
“You filthy Simians are everywhere! But not to worry, Your pathetic ally Goku isn’t here, and neither is Vegeta! Ill crush you with ease!” He said as he charged up a small ball of intense energy at the tip of one of his fingers.
But something wasn’t sitting right, Ethar knew that if he was on Namek, Frieza shouldn’t know about Goku and Vegeta, or their strength yet.
Frieza soon fired an energy beam at Ethar, and Ethar leapt out of its path, narrowly dodging the attack. “Dance monkey! Dance!” Frieza said as he laughed as he fired multiple beams at Ethar, who did his best to dodge each one, but a beam eventually hit Ethar in the shoulder causing him to fall to the ground. “Is that all you got, you Vampire Monkey?” Frieza asked and laughed again. This made Ethar wonder even more now, how did Frieza know what a Noran was?
Ethar got up and glared at Frieza, “What did you call me?” He asked, as Frieza gave Ethar a concerned look, but also a look of confusion. “What? Vampire Monkey?” He asked, as he wanted to see what Ethar was getting to. Ethar clutched his fist as his aura flared up. This caused Frieza’s scouter to blip to life as it registered Ethars power level quintupling as Ethar’s hair turned silver, and facial markings appeared on the hybrids face.
“Oh? So you can transform as well…. I can see why Dodoria and Zarbon fell to you.” Freiza said as Ethar suddenly rushed at him and threw a barrage of punches at him. Ethars new speed and agility caught the Icerian off guard, as Ethars barrage hit its marger, pummelling the Icerian. “DIE!” Ethar shouted as he trusted his hands towards the Icerian, and unleashed a large energy blast at point blank range.
Once he finished his attack, Ethar leapt backwards just incase, and waited for the smoke to clear. He started to sense out if Frieza was taken care of, but felt a massive power signature that dwarfed his maximum level. “That’s…. “ He started to say as the smoke cleared to reveal the Icerian had changed form. A Sleek and more advanced form of the Icerian now stood in its place and was glaring at Ethar. He could sense the Icerian was well more then 4 times his own power, and this made him shake a bit in his knees.
“I think it is time for our little game to end. Id love to say its been fun, but frankly, that would look back on my reputation.” He said as Ethar charged up energy and attempted to throw dozens of bolts at the newly transformed Icerian, but even at full power, his attacks were easily knocked aside. And just when Ethar was about to try something else, Frieza suddenly moved behind Ethar, and grabbed his neck using his tail. “Nnngh!” Ethar grunted as Frieza lifted him up into the air. “Oh yes, are you gonna cry? Do it. Plea for your life!” He said as he suddenly punched Ethar in the back, causing him to yell out in pain.
“Hmm? Whats that? I cant hear you…” He said as he trusted his fist into Ethar’s back again as there was a gruesome cracking noise. Ethar spewed blood out of his mouth as he felt something break in his back. It was then Frieza saw Ethar drop something from his hand as it fell on the ground. “Hmm? Whats this?” He asked, as he threw Ethar hard into a nearby mountain, and reached down to pick it up. “Ah Crystal?” He asked as he picked up Ethar’s Multiverse Crystal and looked it over.
“Fascinating, this is what you use to teleport everywhere hmm?” He asked, as Ethar struggled to get out of the debris and saw Frieza holding his Multiverse crystal. “G-Give that back Freiza!” Ethar shouter as he started to panic.
He slowly tried to make his way over to the Icerian, but his foe just grinned at him. “Farewell Vampire Monkey. Ill be sure to give your universe your regards….” He said as he suddenly vanished in a bright white light.
Ethar just stood there wide eyed. “H-Hes gone….Oh god… IM THE CATALYST?!” He asked as his vision soon faded to white and Ethar soon found himself back on Beerus’s planet, where Whis, Goku, Vegeta and the God of Destruction himself were waiting.
As soon as they were fully in view, Ethars body somewhat gave out as he fell to his knees and coughed up some blood as his body stuggled to heal the serious injury Frieza gave to him. “Oh my, It seems that went sideways fast.” Whis said, realizing a terrible mistake he made. “Ethar! Are you alright?!” Goku asked as he rushed over to Ethar. Ethar pushed himself up, through the pain his body was in as he replied “I-Im ok Goku Thanks…” He said as he glared at Whis with rage and fury.
“What in gods name were you thinking sending me up against Frieza like that?! Im nowhere near strong enough to face that tyrant at full power!” He said, as Whis seemed to be thinking about something, as he had replied with “That was not the real Frieza. The real Frieza of that timeline is roughly four to five times more powerful then the one you faced. The one you faced was a duplicate with a fraction of his actual power, however it seemed that he was still able to overpower you and steal your Multiverse Crystal.”
Vegeta looked over to Whis and asked “And what will that mean? His universe now has Frieza to deal with, while we are stuck here?” and Whis nodded.
“Correct. However, While Ethar’s Earth has capable fighters, None of them are capable of beating Frieza even in his restricted power. Im afraid there are doomed.” Whis said, as Ethar thought of his friends being murdered by Frieza, and his home destroyed. “T-There has to be a way to get me back there!” He said, as Whis was still thinking. “There is a way to get you back there, but its not as quick as your crystal is.” He replied.
Ethar clutched his fists as he said “I don’t care! I have to go warn my friends, or atleast help them!” This made Whis smile and laugh a bit as he tapped his staff to the ground and a box shaped vehicle appeared behind them. “Come on Whis, I want to get some of Earths food before Frieza wrecks the entire place.” Beerus said as he and Vegeta stepped into the vehicle. Goku patted Ethar on his shoulder and gave him some words of encouragement. “Don’t worry Ethar, if things get really bad, Ill step in to help you.” He said as Whis gave Goku a stern look and sighed. “IF it comes down to it, I guess it can be allowed. Afterall, I did set these events in motion.”
With a nod, and a crack of his back while it healed, Ethar followed Whis and Goku into the vehicle which soon lifted up into the air, and vanished off the face of the planet…
“Hold in there guys…. Help is on the way…” Ethar thought, hoping Ethan and Ohkara would be able to hold the threat at bay….
