"Well, I guess that's good to hear... about her not wrecking your house that is. Still crappy that it was blown up though." Ethan replied to Ethar following the older male's explanation of what happened to his home. Ethar didn't miss a beat though, jumping right to a topic that Ethan supposed his friend thought would embarrass him, in spite of Ethar being bare to the waist as well. "Uhh, correction Ethar, hate isn't the right word. I just don't see the need to wear one, short of doing something formal that is." the boy corrected his brown haired friend. In spite of Ethan correction Ethar continued with the ribbing, though by now he'd strayed off into the wilderness of conversation, saying something that just didn't make any sense, at least not to the shirtless boy.
"Why would I take my pants off?" Ethan asked, furrowing his brow in utter confusion. "Honestly man, the things you say sometimes are really strange." the boy continued, completely missing what Ethar was implying. Ethan, though maturing in body was still only a boy, his somewhat sheltered life had left him ignorant to some of the more suggestive methods of speaking. As evidenced by his genuine look of confusion, it should have been obvious to anyone that the boy's statement of spending time with him was completely innocent. The blue haired teen hadn't been around when Ethar's live-in slave companion accused him of having a mind thoroughly in the gutter, but had he been, this episode would have made a bit more sense to him. Unlike Ethar, when Ethan made such an offer, it was always with the purist of intentions.
His new friend, Shale seemed to be getting in on what ever this joke was between them before accepting his hand and introducing herself. Ethan gave her hand a firm shake and another of his world brightening smiles. "Pleased to meet you miss." Ethan replied. "And yeah, looks like it. I uh, take it you weren't around during the trouble in Central a few months ago?"

"And people call me the clueless one..." Ethar said as he shook his head a bit. But he smiled as Shale had caught onto the joke he had made.
And while Ethan and Shale were having their conversation, Ethar went on to dust off the rows of TImber he had set up to dry, since his sparring with Shale kicked up alot of dust and debris.
He then heard Ethan mention central city, and the event that happened since then which reminded Ethar of something he had discovered recently that could be connected to that event. Looking over his shoulder, he asked "Ethan, do you know where Ohkara is? Since my house is kinda... in pieces, I havent been able to phone her. I made a discovery that is going to require EVERYONE's attention... And It is related to that incident in central city some months ago. Thanks for reminding me about that..." as he dusted his hands off and quick ran into the stone carved basement where the small succubus-intraining had gone.
Soon, He came out with a roll made of a mysterious black paper, as he waited for Ethans answer...

Shale kept a silent grin as the conversation moved to discoveries and someone named ohkara, and... "Everyone's attention? I hope that applies t' me too, right, ol' man?" Shale asked with a chuckle. "That's what one calls one's master, right?" She would add quickly, though her eyes danced with playfulness and her tone was obviously joking. "...wait, what was happening in central city, anyways?" SHale asked with a frown, as Ethar stated that. she hadn't been here long, but she'd enjoyed her time in central city. As someone used to the hustle-and-bustle of city life, she had to admit a place like Paozu felt a little... quiet.

Shaking his head as Ethar derided him for not understanding his joke, Ethan sighed and replied under his breath. "Better then being a pervert." Then piping up to a more audible level he continued as the other shirtless young man busied himself dusting off a pile of wooden planks. "Actually I came out here because I hadn't heard from you in a while. Wanted to drop in and say Hi..." Ethan paused when Shale chimed in, making a joke of her own about Ethar being a teacher and then asking about what had happened in Central City.
"Really? I'm surprised you hadn't heard about it." the blue haired teen replied. "Some blue guy with a strange name... Started with Z I think. Crashed his ship into an intersection and just started wrecking up the city. Ethar and I engaged him, he started kicking Ethar's butt so I got his attention and pretty much let him beat the crap out of me to hold it. That gave Ethar time to blast him. Some other nut-job tried to capitalize on the chaos but a few of our friends put an end to that. And then after all that his ship nearly exploded in the city. but another of our friends got it away before it blew up... Was all over the news then. But I guess the media's short attention span has buried it under something else by now." Ethan explained and then shrugged at the end.
"Anyway!" the shirtless boy stated, clapping his hands and shifting his attention back to Ethar's announcement. "What is it you need to tell us about?"

Listening to Ethan, he was surprised he had forgotten the cretins name that had attacked Central city. "Zarbon. His name was Zarbon. One of Frieza's Henchmen." He said, as Ethan finished explaining what happened to Shale, and Ethan asked Ethar what his announcment was.
Taking the large scroll and placing it on a nearby table that he was using for construction, he opened it up. The paper looked blank for a few moments before what looked like a map soon came into view, etched in white glowing lines.
Seconds later, white dots started to glow on different lines. "This is a map of the Milky Way Galaxy. The white dots are recorded Temporal events. And each time one has appeared, the nearby planet has been destroyed, and or all life wiped out. First a small event appears, and seemingly half a year later, a huge one appears, and thats that." He started to say, as he pointed to a dot in what looked like the local solar system.
"Earth has had its small temporal event. Zarbon. Some months ago.... and if thousands of years of astral calculations has taught me... in 3 months, Earth will be in grave danger." He added, as he looked over to Ethan and Shale. ".... From the Emperor of Evil himself, Frieza."

Shale glanced at her new companions with widened eyes. "In 3 months... wait. You're not saying..." Shale trailed off. She'd heard things about Frieza - who hadn't. The impossibly powerful tyrant. Legends put it on a pillar with the infamous monster known as cell. History spoke for itself when it came to the power and strength of the infamous emperor. "You can't be certain about that!" Shale added with a bit more force in her words than intended. "...Sorry. But... there's no way it could really be frieza, right?" She asked with a slightly more civil tone. "Or at least, couldn't it just be another flunky? These time distortions are bad, but there's no way a freak like that would be allowed to return to life... right?" Shale asked, her brow furrowed. "...What was that you were saying about training, o teacher o' mine?"

"Yeah yeah, I know his name." Ethan grumbled at Ethar's attempting to correct him. "I wasn't going to name the bozo because he was a jerk." the teen added as Ethar rolled out another of those super neato bendable display screens. He stood by and watched Ethar's presentation, his usual smiling face marred by a bit of a frown as it went on. The teen had enough to worry about during the war with the Saiyans, he didn't need to or want to jump back into the driver's seat again. All he wanted to do was enjoy a nice, seventy or so year long vacation, was that too much to ask?
"Exploding planets? Really?" the boy scoffed. "Can't we get a break? I mean, why the heck to these people keep picking fights with us? Really. How are we this popular?" the shirtless teen continued, venting his frustration. "Ok... Ok... I've got an idea. You said these distortions occur in pairs right? Six months apart? Well, how about we find one of the small ones that's already happened, but before the one we had, warn the planet in question and sit back as they nuke the hell out of anything that come out of the big distortion. If they stop it there, we don't have to worry about it here. And even if the planet in question doesn't have the technology to defend it's self, we could always tip off the Saiyans right? I'm sure they are looking for a fight they have a chance of winning." Ethan postulated, trying to avoid the possibility of combat occurring on Earth.

Looking to Shale and Ethan, he let out a sigh. "Im starting to wish I was wrong, but Ive been studying these distortions for the longest time. Theres ONE planet that is standing between us and Frieza. The planet Namek. But there isnt time to rally a good force from the Saiyans to intercept. They are too far away. We are closer to Namek then the Saiyans are." He said as he rolled the scroll up.
"These attacks are following the path of history from what I can tell. The order of planets coincides with the order Frieza attacked back in the past. So, we have 3 options. One, is to take our strongest fighters, and face Frieza on Namek and try to take him out there. 2, We wait for Frieza to come here while we build up our defenses. Or three... We use magic, along with the power of some crystals that have been appearing around the planet in the last couple of years, to take the fight directly to Frieza before any of the attacks even happening, thus restoring the destroyed planets to their original state." He said, giving Ethan and Shale options to consider. He wasnt sure if Ethan even heard of the Multiverse crystals, but it was surely worth a shot.
He looked to Shale, as he replied "Im afraid the training will have to be extra tough now with Frieza in the picture now. I dont want any of my friends, or you to be hurt by this monster..."

"Woe woe woe woe woe... Magic crystals?" Ethan asked, trying not to sound too incredulous. Time travel was one thing, maybe even reality jumping with some sort of portal machine, but magic crystals? That was just silly. "Look, I don't want to put a damper on things but I don't think time travel with magic crystals is going to work. If we do time travel back and prevent this Ice Box guy from attacking, we'd create one of those paradox things I see on the scifi programs all the time. He wouldn't have attacked, therefore we wouldn't have time traveled in the first place... But since he's here, that means who ever gave him the ability to time jump did so without creating a paradox of their own..." The boy paused in his musings, rubbing his temples.
"Jeez this stuff will give you a headache..." Ethan added and then turned his attention back to the subject at hand. "I think if we are going to have any chance at succeeding, we need to make sure our forces are in shape to do so. Maybe we should hybridize those options a little. If the crystals really are an option, train now and wait as long as we can, learn what we can and if we can't save the Earth on our first try, use them to jump back and do it again. In any case, if we win the first time, we can jump back and do it again and probably have an easier time of it while saving all of the planets as well. What do you think?"

Thinking on Ethans idea, Ethar was impressed by his logical way of thinking. But with a sigh, he replied "Unfortunately from what information I had gathered on these crystals, You cant control on where and when they send you. But once a universe has been 'assigned' to the crystal, that particular crystal is locked in to that universe, and will always pick off where you left, like a bookmarker in a novel book." He said, as he took out his own multiverse crystal.
"I have one such crystal already. Its actually locked to our own universe, but hundreds of years into the past. Problem is, it works with One Crystal Per Person. I have a device that allows me to link my crystal to others, so people can follow me into the past, but the auto return feature of these crystals might be...how you say....fucked, if our Earth is destroyed and we go to the past to survive... We could be stuck in the past for.... who knows how long." He said, as he put his crystal on the table. Ethan also mentioned training, and that perked Ethar up a bit.
"Training up until the last minute? Well, that is partially a good idea... However, we should save some stamina for the fight if need be. We cant take on the Emperor of Evil himself and already be beaten up and tired, can we?" HE asked as he gave Ethan a smile. He appreciated the young teens enthusiasm, young blood always craves action. But with such a power foe on its way to Earth, they would have to take every precaution possible to ensure the best outcome.

Ethan started rubbing his temples again the moment Ethar pointed out that they did not have precise control over their destination in time. That presented a major problem, if they could not control where they were going in time, the entire plan was effectively out the window. Further complicating matters was the fact that Ethar seemed to think that he was dumb enough to propose training right up to the moment of battle, a remark that earned the brown haired older man a roll of the teen's eyes.
"Well that complicates things." the shirtless teen muttered and walked out into the more open space of the yard. "This is just fantastic." Ethan continued, frustrated with the situation. "How am I expected to come up with a viable plan with parts that don't work as advertised and virtually no time to implement?!" he shouted. At least with the campaign against the Saiyans he had time to organize a planet wide defense, but that took months to setup. This tyrant was supposedly going to be arriving in a fraction of that time and he had little to work with. It was looking like brute force was going to end up being the only option when he arrived and cleanup of the mess left behind would have to be figured out afterward.

Trying to think up of a plan on what to do, There wasnt enough time to really do much of anything major. "Brute force might be the only thing we got. Ill have to see what I can do on my end. Might be able to cook SOMETHING up that COULD help us, but I cant make any promises. In the mean time, We should think of ways to minimize the potential damages to the earths population. Perhaps a planet wide evacuation is in order?" He asked, as he attempted to recall everything he had learned about the Tyrant.
Although it wasnt much he could go on, he knew how Frieza was beaten in the past, however Ethan and Ethar and the others lacked the power to reuse the methods that he had been beaten. "Another problem would be exactly in what manner he would appear and where. If we knew an exact location, we could set up an ambush...." He said as he walked over to Ethan.
"Maybe after some training, we can get a better handle on things. Let out some stress, and take a fresh look on things?" He asked as he looked at Ethan with a smile.

"That was my idea with Namek. Even if we can't save them, we'd at least learn enough to do something here... As for evacuating, where would the people go? How would they get there? How would we even get that going in a month? And how much training would we miss out on while we're concentrating on that?" Ethan countered. While he'd like to do as Ethar suggested and evacuate, there was simply no feasible way to do it. Finally Ethar suggested something that Ethan could get behind, some proper stress relief.
"Now that's a good idea, I feel like hitting someone right about now." the boy replied. Noting the smile on Ethar's face, Ethan raised an eyebrow at the other shirtless young man and turned to face him, bringing his arms up and folding them behind his head in a supremely confident move. "Think you're up to the challenge old man?" Ethan teased and he showed off his physique. Ethar was around the same age as his older brother and by no means an old man, but the difference in their two relative ages opened up the possibility for Ethan to tease him and the blue haired teen grabbed it.

Thinking as Ethan responded to his idea, Ethar was not one to quite give up, but he had to come up with a plan. Something came to him, as he replied "I got some ways to get some intel on Frieza. I have... contacts that I can rely on. Ill see what I can gather on him and see if he has a weakness we can exploit or something to gain a advantage over him."
Then Ethan had the audacity to call him an old man. Curling up a fist, Ethar replied in kind and slammed a fist into the teen's gut. "Im not an old man! By Noran years, Im still a baby!" He said, as he followed up his punch with a sideways kick to the teens right leg in an attempt to knock him down to his knees.
"You might be more powerful then me, but I know your weakness to." He said with a smile.

With his arms folded up behind his head, Ethan was to the outside observer seemingly too busy showing off to properly defend himself. In truth though, and he suspected Ethar knew it as well, the shirtless boy was letting his friend get a free slug in on him before they started their training and Ethar did not disappoint. The brown haired man smashed his bare fist into Ethan's bare stomach, sinking that punch into the boy's body past the wrist and drawing a pained groan from the teen. "Uuuuungggg!..." He'd of course left himself exposed and his abdominals were not tensed to their fullest. Had he actually intended to ward off the effects of the punch, Ethar's fist would have met his toned midsection like a car slamming into a wall rather then a piston crushing a rubber ball.
Needless to say the boy started to double over, his still elevated arms unclasping from behind his head as his body bowed to Ethar's strength came down, one arm draping over the other young man's shoulder. Ethan wasn't really in a mind set to defend himself yet, concentrating more on the ache in his innards, so the swift kick to his leg took his support right out from under him. Grunting from the kick, the teen started to go down, though he did try to stop himself with the arm over Ethar's shoulder. This though wasn't exactly successful. While he didn't claw at the other male, his fingers did try and get a grip of the other's almost equally tones body, though this only resulted in his hand awkwardly sliding down and across Ethar's chest as Ethan dropped to his knees and wrapped his other arm around his own midsection.
Instantly he began to regret the choice to try and hold onto Ethar. Between their both being shirtless and Ethar's apparent knowledge of his weakness and complete willingness to exploit it to keep the field level, the touch of his hand to the other's skin was enough to kick start the boy's rebellious body. Worse, he know it was so wrong, Ethar was akin to another brother and such a reaction was like being tempted with forbidden fruit, made even more so by the fact that he was already in a relationship of sorts with Brandon as well as his conflicted feelings for Ohkara. It was purely hormones though, Ethan knew that much at least. Who would get their rocks off fighting this guy shirtless?
'Oh damn, stop thinking about, get up and punch him back already!' Ethan' thought to himself as he tried to straiten up and get back to his feet, though the moments he'd spent on his knees, nursing his aching stomach would by now have provided Ethar ample time to position himself for any number of continuing maneuvers.
