Today there was a bright smile plastered on our hero’s face. Ohkara beamed brightly as she rushed out of town with an interesting capsule greedily twisting in her fingers. She’d finally saved up enough money to purchase a gravity chamber. Remembering the intense workout and the massive surge in power afterwards she knew she had to have one of her own. And today was the day she’d waiting for. Levitating slightly off the ground, she flew towards the forest. Once a fair distance away she’d touch down and set up camp.
”Aaaaaaaallllllrriiiiiigggggghhhhty!~” she exclaimed, standing in the center of a suitable field. With a grin the young woman pressed the button on the top of the capsule, and tossed it ahead of her, ”Let’s see what we got!~”
With a weird noise and a poof of smoke a huge, futuristic-looking pillar appeared in front of her, below it an intricate-patterned circular floor, stretching out a good ten feet in radius. Of course, this was the kind of model Ohkara had ordered to use in a ship; the ship she was indeed lacking at the moment; however, it was no matter, the device being able to support up to half its maximum of 100Gs without a structure. It was in interesting idea, but Ohkara was too eager to ponder it. Rushing forwards she wasted no time in beginning a session of five times Earth’s normal gravity.
The change was gradual, however when it reached its set maximum, Ohkara was quick to feel the strain- coupled with her heavy training weights she’d forgotten to take off. Gritting her teeth, she couldn’t help but bend her knees under the pressure, her hands grabbing them to steady her. Grunting, the young woman picked her right foot off the floor and took a single step. Letting out a deep breath she repeated the process with the other foot. Then again, and again, all while gradually increasing the speed she’d do it in.
Honestly it would take a lot of missteps, and falls for her to master walking under such gravity. Nevertheless the green-haired girl would struggle through, picking herself up after each harsh tumble. It would not be the most elegant of displays, in contrary to her normally graceful and fluid movements. Obviously it had been a very smart move to go so deeply into the forest. At least here no one would see her in such a vulnerable state; she would have died of embarrassment.
With a smile the young lady would stand straight up and wipe the sweat from her brow. With a huff, she’d straighten her trademark yellow gi and cyan belts, ”Damn, this is harder than I remember…” she’d groan, taking a moment to breath. She was now mastering fluid movements, transcending where she started a few hours ago. Although her straining body moved slowly she could now do many of her original twists, spins, cartwheels, and flips.
With each round of exercise she could feel improvement, even if just slightly; this feeling only making the girl more and more determined to master it, and eventually surpass this, all the way to one hundred-times, even beyond that. She was ready to become even stronger; she needed to keep on improving for the sake of her friends, for her people, for her planet. She’d be sure she’d be ready to protect them should anything ever happen to Earth again, and to do that she would have to go above and beyond her own physical limits.
”Heeeyaaaah!~” she exclaimed, finishing up yet another gymnastic routine with a backflip, sticking the landing on her toes in a professional matter. Her breath was beginning to level, her speed nearly to its maximum. Her clothes were drenched with sweat, her green hair falling flat and dripping wet as she stood still for the moment. Regardless of her rather distasteful appearance, she was pleased with the way things were going. She’d been at it for a total of five hours, and already she was nearing her maximum speed- all without ever needing to use her Inner Strength.
”This. Is. Great.” she huffed, rolling her neck from side to side, twisting her shoulders and stretching her legs, ”I’m starting to feel like my normal self again. I can’t wait to see what it’ll be like when I’m finished with one-hundred!~” she squeeled excitedly like a school-girl, cupping her hands closely to her breast and bouncing a little bit, ”I be it’ll be incredible!~”
Returning focus to training Ohkara next incorporated flight into her routine; at first complete levitation was unachievable; however with every attempt the failures grew less and less, until finally Ohkara took full flight. Training to move as gracefully in the air as she did in the sky was an interesting challenge. In regular training, while flying the young woman almost felt weight-less, even while wearing her weights (after just as intense training, of course). Now that feeling was amplified; the weight of her body the weight of the gravity, and the weight of her weights, all playing a huge factor in the strain.
That said she would eventually prevail in the task of spinning and flipping in the air, then finally completing her first successful routine. Not stopping there she would continue doing sets until she could do so at full speed. Hours would pass and by the time she was finally satisfied with her progress it would be nightfall. Gracefully landing a triple-backflip, Ohkara would stand straight on her tippy-toes and stare into the sky, pondering what would come next, or rather… who… There was no doubt to the young lady that someone, somewhere, was plotting something against the planet; she’d be ready whenever that happened. All that in mind, the young woman couldn’t help but raise a hand to her mouth and yawn deeply, ”Damn,” she groaned, stretching her back as she strode over to the pilar at the center of the plate, ”I’m tired… I should probably call it a night.”
Pressing a few buttons on the control panel caused a loud humming as the machine winded down. As the gravity returned to normal Ohkara suddenly felt weightless. Oddly enough after a second she would find her whole body lifting off the ground and into the air, ”W-wha-what!?” she exclaimed, frantically waving her hands and feet against the uplifting force. It would take a moment for reality to set in, and in that time the Gravity chamber would snap back into its capsule.
Spinning playfully in the air, the young lady would realize she’d been using her ability to fly to aid her in even simple movements. The realization made her curious if she’d have been able to master things so quickly had she not been able to fly; however, such thoughts died out as she let out yet another long yawn, and quickly dropped to the ground.
Snatching the capsule off the forest floor she beamed happily, ”Until tomorrow!~” she exclaimed with a bellow of victory, pumping her fist in the sky. Dropping the curious hero act, she’d slide the capsule into her pocket, and take off for home. First a shower, and then bed- it’d been a while since sleep had called to her like this; surely she’d have a great night’s sleep after exhausting so much of her energy.
