After quite a few hours after landing on Earth, and getting strength to walk, Wabisa had offered to take Brandon in until he was back on his feet. However, since he didn't know where to go, he was letting the girl lead him to her dwelling.
"Thank you for taking me in Wabisa. Things are just so confusing to me right now." He said, looking a bit embarass even though it wasnt his fault. Or atleast, he believed it wasn't his fault. Walking through the sand, it felt good on his bare feet. He felt something hit his foot, so he bent over and shifted through the sand, finding a wallet. "Well hey, look at that." He said, as he flipped it open and saw his own picture. "Its my wallet!" He said happily, as he looked back and saw that he wasnt too far from the impact site yet.
Quickly flipping through it, he saw only 200 Zenie in his wallet, but he didnt have a divers license with his home address. But there was a Shoppers reward card for a local grocery store in Central city, however this chain of stores wouldnt have Brandons information due to only the stores in Brandon's dimension.
"Well, its something right?"

She lead him along slowly. It wasn't a long walk, only a couple of miles down the coast from his impact crater. She glanced over her shoulder at him, "Look, let's get something straight. This house isn't mine. I just rented it for a couple of weeks as a beachside vacation home. A week from now, I'm outta here. What you do after that is up to you. I'm doing you a favor because, as it turns out, I do have a nice streak to people that aren't directly in opposition to my job. Even though I'm not at work, I still have to keep in mind that my reputation is at stake if anyone decides to issue me a challenge." She sighed at that and continued walking along, not paying much mind to him as he discovered his own wallet in the sand. "Oh? But no substantial evidence as to where you lived or who you were, huh?" She asked him, aware of the disappointed look on his face when he didn't find anything useful to finding his past.
"Look, Brandon, did you consider the fact that some things are best left forgotten? If these memories, as short and confusing as you've made them out to be, are causing you such grief just by remembering them...maybe you're better off without them. Believe it or not, not all things that happen are good, and some things that happen are so bad that people subconsciously black them out of their memory until even their subconscious starts to forget, or to disbelieve they ever happened. It's called coping, and everybody does it differently. Don't feel guilty if you can't, or don't want to, remember." She wasn't being very sweet and sugary, but honesty was the best policy anyway, even if it was bittersweet.
"So, I've caught some fish earlier today and I was gonna roast the fillets over an open flame for dinner. There's a couple of pineapples to boot. It's nothing fancy, but it fills a hole in your belly and it's all natural." Wabisa mentioned dinner because she imagined that after the ordeal he'd been through, getting something in his stomach was probably a wise decision.

"Your reputation? What is it exactly that you do? Your not a bounty hunter are you?" He asked with a slight smirk. He continued to listen to her say that it might be a fact that some things were best left forgotten.
"You may be right... What images I have seen... They are all dark and ominous... Might be better to make new memories are you say..." He said, as the sound of food greeted his ears, and that perked him up a bit. Laughing a bit, he replied "Oh I think I got more then a hole... Feels like a pit. Hahaha." as his stomach let out a growling sound.
"Is there anything I can do to help around the place? Id feel bad if I didnt do something to help pull my own weight around the place..."

Wabisa took note of the way he reacted to her suggestion about just forgetting that dark and gloomy past. Making new, happier memories was probably the best way to go about it. That way, even if the bad juju did rear its ugly head again, the good memories would be there to counter-act all those bad vibes. The Makyan glanced back at him again when he asked her job, though, and she laughed, "I played the bounty hunting game for a while, but most criminals on Earth these days are easily handled by the police or, in more extreme cases, the EDF. So I just took up a job as a bouncer. I drift from town to town, cleaning up thugs at bars. After getting whipped a time or two, most unruly patrons tend to settle down for the long term for fear that I might show up and bust 'em up again." She smirked at him as they finally arrived at her cabin.
Wabisa unlocked the door with a key that had been stashed inside the small mailbox mounted on the wall just outside the door. "Well, if you're that hungry then you can start by catching some more fish or hunting down some fruits on the island. I've got some food stored away in the fridge and freezer, but it's not a lot and I'd rather save it for emergencies when we happen to fail at catching or finding anything on a given day."

Brandon seemed a bit confused when Wabisa mentioned the 'EDF'. "The EDF? Like... Earth Defense Force? Never heard of them... But being a Bouncer is pretty cool to. You get to protect some people." He said, as he saw her cabin. He watched her unlock the door as she brought up the idea of fishing for more food. This made him smile, since his memories werent failing him here. He remembered that he used to hunt AND fish back in the forest, where he was living.
"Sure, I can do that no problem. I may have amnesia, but I seem to remember my time as a woodsman before everything went blank. Just give me a few sticks, a knife and some rope, and I can bring home a feast if you want." He said with a grin. The idea of going back to what he really knew made him smile. He felt a lil bit cocky, as the idea of impressing Wabisa crossed his mind, though she didnt appear to be the type to be interested in men the way he was thinking of.

Wabisa tossed him a couple of modern day fishing poles, complete with a small tackle box. "I came prepared. We're not living in the stone ages here, you know." She smirked at him slyly. "Yeah, you get to protect some people. Mostly money grubbing bartenders or people who get in over their head due to being drunk. Or occasionally you protect innocent people from stupid drunkards. But that's usually the least likely scenario. You'd be surprised." Wabisa stated before heading toward her bedroom. "You go fish us up some extra dinner. I'm gonna get changed into some more appropriate clothes. My sunbathing got interrupted, and now it's time to cook dinner. Can't cook properly in a bikini, even if I do look damn good in it." She said that last bit with a confident smile on her face.
"You were a woodsman back then? That seems interesting. Like a hermit who lived off the land or something? Or just a simple hunter and trapper?" She asked, quite curious about his past, even if it could potentially be dark. This part didn't sound like it was too grim, though, which is why she asked. The Makyan assumed he wouldn't have brought it up if he wasn't okay to discuss it. She'd already made her stance clear in regards to bad memories and thoughts with very ill vibes.

"Im not one hundred percent sure, but I think a bit of both. I can remember having a home built into a very large tree, next to a small pond that was in the middle of a running creek. I can seem to remember how I hunted for essentials." He said, taking the fishing tools from Wabisa. "Though WHY I was living on my own in the woods seems a bit blurry. Something happened... something bad, and I was hiding from it I think." He said, trying to think hard of why he was in the woods, but his memories were still damaged.
It frustrated him to no end, but he just sighed, and looked out towards the ocean. He saw a decent sized dock where a boat was parked. He thought about using it to fish, but there were some large rocks further out that he could stand on and cast his line out. He wasnt sure how good the fish were around these parts, or after all these years. But he never failed to atleast catch a meal.
"What sucks is that I can't even remember if I had any family or not..."

Wabisa got changed in no time. While he was internally debating how and where to fish, she returned to just outside the cabin with a couple of fishing poles of her own to try and catch some more herself. "Look, family might be able to raise you, but they don't define you. They guide you during your youth so you learn as much about the world as possible. But in the end, you decide your future. You're alive and well right now, so why not make the best of it? Being hung up on ancient history will doom you to repeat it, you know, Brandon."
Wabisa cast out both of her fishing lines from one of those rocks out in the middle of the water. She stood on it casually as high tide was slowly starting to roll in. She was in blue jeans, a t-shirt, and some waders. "Think about it this way. If you did have a family, then they'd want you to be happy and well, whether you could remember them or not. It's been three hundred years, guy. Fact of the matter is, unless your family is mostly demon-blooded individuals or the like, you're probably the last one left. It's a hard pill to swallow, I know. Being alone isn't fun for some people. But you're better off moving on, because the world won't stop for you no matter what. Loved ones perish, just like everyone else. You've been out of the loop for three centuries, and still here we are, Earth still spinning. You're so caught up in what might have been that you'll end up missing what could be, Brandon."
She pulled back on one rod and started reeling in a fish while the other floated, motionless, and waiting to snag a fish.

Hopping out to a separate rock, a reasonable distance from Wabisa, Brandon cash his own line out into the water after putting bait on hook."Alive and well? Ha, Well just alive anyways." He said with a bit of a laugh. But she did have a point, to dwell on the past, you are deoomed to repeated it. Problem was, how do you know your not already repeating it if you dont even know what the past even was?
Brandon felt a huge tug on his line just as quickly as he threw it out, and started to gentle reel it in. "Maybe your right Wabisa. Considering the most recent frightening images I've seen before we got here, Im far better off not knowing what the hell happened 300 years ago. The last images I saw were of this... dark castle, and some kind of one eyed, black monster thing... It scared the fuck out of me." He said, as he saw a large fish on the end of his line. "Woo! Got one! And its a biiig one!"

She glanced over in time to see the rather large fish dart to one side just below the water's surface. It was quite huge! "You've seen some shit, and maybe it happened three hundred years ago. But the fact that you're here, and the world didn't end means that whatever you saw and whatever happened eventually turned out okay. On the other hand, if you're having visions rather than memories, that just means a few of us are gonna have to tighten up our ass kicking pants and get ready to throw a big bad one eyed monster a beatdown. But, y'know, either way...life goes on." She didn't know what it'd take to get through to him. His existential crisis was kind of getting on her nerves, what with him bringing her down on her vacation.
"You seem to be a decent fisherman, although fishing in saltwater and fishing in freshwater aren't exactly the same. I'm not much of a fisherman myself. I can get the job done, but I'm not master angler." Perhaps a change of subject was in order? She'd at least attempt to nudge things in that direction. She was almost surprised he hadn't asked much about her aside from the sort of work she did. Then again, maybe it was better that way.

"Yeah, for some reason, whenever I think of that creature, There some odd feelings stirring around.... but enough of that!" He said, as he yanked the large fish from teh water, and attempted to grab onto it. Though, with his unknown strengths, his fingers dug into the fish's skin, past its scales. Blood started to leak from the flopping fish, onto teh rock below Brandon as it died in his hands rather quickly. Could it be contributed to the same thing that killed teh grass around his hand earlier? Or the multiple penetrations into its body? Who knows...
Seemingly bouncing the fish in his arms, Brandon smiled and said "Id say a good 15 to maybe 17 pounds? Saltwater fishing was never my strong suit, but this fish has some weight to it." as he looked at Wabisa. "So were there any big events I should know of that happened recently? Have North, South, East, West or even Hercule City give you any work as a bouncer? Heh." He asked, as he took a small rope and tied it around the fishes tail, and slung it over his shoulder like it was nothing. He soon cast his line out again to see if something else would bite the line.

Wabisa was a little curious of the feelings he got when he thought about the creature. A dark, one eyed behemoth of a monster and a dark, gloomy castle. It sounded to her like he'd visited a place that no mortal should visit, or at the very least he'd watched a really terrifying movie at some point in his past and it was very unpleasant. Either way, she didn't comment on it for the time being. Wabisa facepalmed as he literally strangled the life and blood out of the fish. "You chucklehead...how are we supposed to eat the fish if you butcher it into a hunk of bloody meat? Do you know how hard it is to pick the bones out of the meat normally when it's not mangled? Good luck on that one, is all I'll say. You can go to the trouble of trying to clean and fillet that bad boy. There's enough meat on it that I'm sure you can get a couple of good cuts even after you strangled it and crushed its ribs."
His next question caught her off guard. She didn't even think of the fact that he might be totally clueless to the goings-on of the world. Still, she was at least willing to fill him in on what happened recently. "A little under a year ago the Saiyans, that had previously been residing on the moon, got uppity and attacked Earth because they wanted more land and more authority in the galaxy. It caused an all out war, and since both sides wanted the planet, neither destroyed it even though either side easily could have. A lot of people on both sides perished, and in the end Earth was defended and nothing worthwhile was accomplished. It was a lot of pointless bloodshed, but nonetheless it happened. As for me, I travel from city to city. I've had jobs in all the major cities, and I've done them several times. It's just a matter of where the biker gangs have traveled to recently and which gangs are causing a ruckus."

Brandon felt bad about messing up the first fish. He didn't mean to do it, since it was accidental.
But her answer to the 2nd question perked his interest. "The Saiyans got greedy then eh? Alot of things seemed to of happened in 300 years. Back in my time, The Saiyans weren't on the moon, infact, I dont know where they were." He said, after listening to her. He was surprised he missed so much, but the again, he still didn't know what happened to him him for 300 years.
Another fish snagged his line, as well as Wabisa's. He quickly reeled it in. This one squirmed quite a bit, trying to wiggle out of Brandons grasp.
Looking around for a club to kill it properly, Brandon failed to find one so he curled up a fist, and tried to punch the fish. Now that was something to see, for as soon as brandon punched it, the fish stopped moving completely. One punch seemed to knock it out of its misery. Quite a feat for someone like Brandon, although his shirtless body didn't lie about Brandon being strong. He was VERY strong.
Looking at the lifeless fish, this one looked alot better then the one he mangled up. IT was a tiny bit smaller, but still a good catch.
"Is this one alright for dinner?"

Wabisa was casually, slowly reeling in the fish on the end of her line when he made those comments about the Saiyans. She shrugged and sighed, "Honestly I really don't know what their motives behind it were. Needing more land and more authority are the obvious things I would assume. They were confined to one major city on the moon before, and the entire Saiyan population being crammed into one city seems like a bad choice to me to begin with, what with them being so hot blooded. But then that's probably part of what caused their attack on Earth to begin with. That and feeling a little inferior since Earth GAVE them the moon out of kindness rather than the Saiyans taking it by conquest, which would be their normal way of getting what they want."
She watched him club the fish and hold it up. About the time he asked if it was good to go for dinner, she held her rod up and dangled the fish on the end of it in front of him, "Take care of this one, too. That one you mangled is still good for eating. I'll just have to get rid of the parts that have bone fragments in it. It's no trouble. I love sushi, and I've learned to fillet and clean fish like nobody's business for that reason. Since I don't live near the coast, though, I don't get to fish like this too often."

Smiling softly, he nodded. "Goodie, I can descale them for ya. Over the years... that I can remember, I actually found out a way to do it efficiently. Living in the forest, you tend to learn things that make things quicker and easier." He said, as he reached over, took the fish off of Wabisa's line, as well as his own, and held both fish in one hand, and his rod in the other.
He then hopped off the rock, into teh water making a splash. wading to the shore, he picked up the mutilated fish with the hand holding his rod and started to walk up to the cabin. "Might I ask, where do you keep your knives?" He asked, as he looked back to Wabisa, unsure if she was following him to her cabin or not.
"I might have no memory of what happened over the last 300 years, but Im still handy with a knife." He said with a grin as he then looked up to the sky. "Not a cloud in the sky. Oh wait, theres a lil puff there... Still a beautiful day." He said as he took a sigh. "How about I prepare dinner for ya tonight? Its the least I can do to thank you for letting me stay with you for a little while."
