So there's this joint in downtown Central City called Kazu's Pub. Owned by a shady guy named Kazu Raspendi. He had a few waitresses, but one had run off to go play with swords on the moon along with his best bouncer who he used to be able to pay in booze. Bushiness was great but it was alot for his staff to handle. It had been a while since Kazu had to man the Bar himself. "I gotta friggen hire someone for this shit." he muttered, sliding a full mug across to a tall man in a long black coat with the hood up. "Shit happens." the man said, tipping the mug back. Kazu was the only one with a clear view of his face. The man finished the mug off and dropped some Zeni bills on the counter. Kazu took it right away, but didn't count it. Witch was extremely rare for him to do. "When will you be back around?" Kazu asked as the man got up. He made his way to the door.
"One day." He answered.
Out on the streets, the first couple people walking by may see the man exit the bar and walk down the sidewalk. Just before stepping into the light of the first streetlamp, it would flicker... and he would be gone. Who he was and what he was doing there was one of many mysterys behind Kazu's bar. Like Kazu himself. Claiming he was a half-breed Saiyan but has never provided a doctor a blood sample. Or the mystery of why the liquor truck doesn't seem to make enough deliveries to keep the place soaked in booze... yet the bar has never run dry.
And like our hooded friend, it is a place where some of the most interesting characters seem to appear...

Finally deciding to relax one night while NOT on the mountain, Ethar was walking down the street looking for someplace to relax, when he saw the bar.
From the streets, he could see that the Bar looked rather empty, but high quality. Shrugging to himself, he tried to remember the appropriate phrases that humans used in a bar.
But just before he was about to open the door and walk in, the rain started to pour outside, making Ethar move quickly to get into the bar. Shaking the water from his hair, making it stick up everywhere, He looked up at Kazu with a faint smile. "Amazing how quickly the weather can turn these days...." He said, as he stripped up his leather jacket and hung it over his arm. "Whatcha got on tap tonight?"

What a day, what a day Miri thought to herself. Everything had started off so simple, errands and grocery shopping ending her week so that she could commit her time to training over the weekend. Walking home she thought all was well until she ran across quite the scene in an alleyway. Her intervention in the devious acts at hand had resulted in a short engagement, which ultimately led her to the police station. Oh what a change of events. For that very reason she had decided to take another stroll, looking for some fresh air to re-center herself.
As it turned out though, Mother Nature had no intention of letting the girl enjoy a casual walk through Central City. Not even halfway through her planned route it began to rain and then it poured. With no protection to keep her dry, Miri ducks into the closest door she saw, some sort of tavern. Stumbling in she gets her feet back under her right before bumping into a mad that stood not far from the doorway, jacket draped over his arm.
”Oh, excuse me. That rain came out of nowhere.” Hand reaching up, she runs her hand along her hair, the thick black strands quite soaked from the sudden downpour. With a sigh she turns to look out the window at the pouring rain, lips drooping into a frown. She might be holed up here for a while.

As thunder cracked outside, it seemed a fitting background for the man who had left the bar behind. In stumbled as man from the rain who shook it off the moment he walked in as if he was a dog or something. "Amazing how quickly the weather can turn these days..." He said. Kazu nodded. "Global warming. Been happening for a thousand years or so..." he said. A joke really. "Whatcha got on tap tonight?" the man asked. Kazu grabbed a clean mug and smiled. "Well lets see... SayCo, Space Canadian, Mhiller Light, and our own brew witch is also the most popular, Koshoweiser. Brewed up in the Kiken Monastery on Earth's Moon."
Then in stumbled another rain-dodger. ”Oh, excuse me. That rain came out of nowhere.” she said just after bumping the first guy. Kazu chuckled. "Well if the rain didn't come out of the sky, we might have a bit of a problem." he joked. There was a crack of two pool balls at a table in the back corner and something by CCR playing on the jukebox. "Two stools right here at the bar. First one's on me, a little rule of mine for any newcomers." he stated. To these two, Kazu was nothing more than a common bartender. They would barely be able to sense a power level off of him. Truth was, he had a little device hidden on him keeping it suppressed. However he sensed their power just fine. Just the kinds of people he was looking for. Now the question... would they work in the bar, filling glasses... or did they have no problems with getting their hands a little dirty for a semi-good cause?

Feeling someone bump into him from behind, he saw a woman who had been soaked by the rain. She apologized for bumping into him, and he smiled "Its alright. Had you been in here before me, I probably would of bumped into you as well." He said, hearing the bar tender answer his earlier question of what he had 'on tap', and that they could sit right at the bar and that the first drink was on the house.
"Thank you sir." He said, accepting the mans request to sit at the bar. Trying to figure out what to drink, but eventually, he thought 'What the hell...' as he said to Kazu "One Space Canadian please. Gotta start off with the ... light drinks. Heh." as he looked back to the girl who came in behind him, and pulled out the bar chair for her.
"So hows business here sir? Must be pretty busy?" He asked, looking back to Kazu.

”I suppose you are right.” The girl letting out a nervous laugh in response to the bar tenders words. She wasn’t exactly a word smith or sage, often speaking her mind even if it made her look the fool. Considered sweet and innocent by most in her home village, adapting to the city had been a bit of a challenge at first. With so many people always around it was often you met one that lacked manners. Any harsh words or gestures were met with a smile and turned cheek. It was rarely worth it to respond to such people. Thankfully this night, it appeared she was in the company of at least one gentleman.
Miri smiles as the man pulls the stool out for her. ”Why thank you.” Hopping up onto the empty seat she rests her arms along the bar top before looking to her current company. Not much of a drinker she waves off the offer for a drink when Kazu turns to her. Alcohol had never really been part of her life and honestly she didn’t get the appeal of it. She wasn’t really against it though, just unfamiliar.
In response to Ethar’s words she nods and adds. “Especially on a night like tonight, I don’t think anyone would want to be out in this weather, names Miri by the way.” Her right hand then extends towards Ethar, looking to shake it and then the bartenders in turn. Manners, manners she reminded herself. She should have introduced herself from the start. Being soaked and almost taking out the fellow seated next to her had distracted her from proper etiquette.

Kazu chuckled at the girl. "You'd be surprised what kind of people like days like this." he said, sliding the beer past her to the other man then a glass of water towards her. Kazu turned to Ethar. "It's never buisy enough. More customers, more money. Until some douchebag builds up a huge tab and disappears. My best collector just took off too. Went into hiding for... some reason." he said.
There was alot of decent people who owed him money. He usually had someone approach them with payment plan options. However there were also many lowlifes who owed him money, along with some 'choice' individuals who he purposely had placed in a hole for his own reasons. He needed someone to deal with these asshats though.
Kazu leaned down and slid in close er to the two, looking side-to-side. "So... anyone want a job? Got two guys who owe me tab money. Both of them are scum. I'd like you guys to either get the money out of them, or find another method of settling our deal. If you're interested, I'll give you the details." he explained.

Ethar perked up a bit as Kazu mentioned a couple of scum bags that owed him alot of money for their tabs.
Ethar smirked a bit as Kazu told them to either get the money from them, or work out another deal. If the scumbags skipped out on their tabs, they either didn't have the money to pay it, or they did, and just wanted free drinks from teh guy.
"Hmmm... It does sound interesting... If we do agree to help you out, Will we get a cut?" He asked. He was unsure if he worded his phrasing correctly or not. There was only so much one can learn from movies created by the Earthlings. Ethar was in a bit of need of some coin, and jobs like this sounded like easy money to him.

She offered a nod of thanks for the glass of water. A small sip was taken as the bartender borrowed their ears. It was no surprise that various individuals had skipped out on their tabs. As sad as it was, there were plenty in this world who thought themselves above others. Like that male she had met in the alley, attempting to take whatever he pleased. Miri was almost impossible to anger, yet the idea of stealing from another, whether it was zeni or something much more precious, did not sit well with her.
”I will at least promise to hear you out. From there we shall see. First might I get your name? I hate talking to someone when I don’t know there name.” With a small smile and another sip of her water, Miri gave him the floor once more. With it raining as it was outside, she was in no rush to head home. A bar would not have been her first choice of places to hunker down in such weather, but it would not be her last either. Perhaps there had been a reason the sky had opened up so suddenly. Might a strange twist of fate brought her to this building on this night?

Kazu smiled at the two. Glad to see that they were willing to listen. Both had questions before they heard the details. He nodded a few times. "Name's Kazu Raspendi. And yes, you get a cut. Glad to see you guys look for details." he stated. He pulled out a file and set it down on the spine so it would open.
"Alright, here's the deal. I own many, many places like this. Some better, some worse. As far as tabs, alot of these rich folk use AI as accountants to save money. They... tend to malfunction often, so their transfers don't go through... and tabs don't get... paid." he started. This would make Kazu look like the shady one. But if they heard him out, he would flip a picture over and tap his finger on the picture. "Now, here's the guy. John Bilovsky. Ever been to Central City Park? Nice place. Kids can play there and walk home safely from school, artists find inspiration in its natural beauty, blah blah blah. this prick wants to bulldoze it and put up a goddamn casino. Worst part is... he bought off city council and now has the contract to pull it off."
Kazu looked up at the two. "This prick owes me a lot of money. So when you confront him, give him an ultimatum. The whopping hundred-thousand he owes, witch since he's a greedy bastard he won't wana part with, or he can burn that contract. Obviously the goal is the destruction of that damn contract one way or another, even if you have to burn the whole house down." he stated.
Kazu actually had many memories of that place himself, as did many of the patrons here. He preferred his clientele to be happy and energetic, rather than becoming depressed due to the loss of the old park.

Ethar listened to Kazu, as he explained the job. The guy did sound like he had something coming to him, especially when he wanted to wipe out a park to put up a casino. Granted, it would bring in more revenue to the city, the lack of the park would be worse since it would make the city less family friendly. This was a job he could do easily, and not feel bad about it at all.
"Sounds easy enough." He said, as he looked to Miri. He realized he missed her introduction and smiled softly as he said to her 'My Apologies Miri, It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Ethar. It you want to accompany me on this task, I would more then welcome your company and assistance. The guy who owes all that money, and wants to tear down that park sounds like a real... whats the word... douche?"
He hoped Miri would be happy to accompany him to take on this greedy s.o.b., since she did seem like a capable fighter herself. Although the normal people of the planet were real pushovers when it came to people like him and Miri.

Miri listened in silence, eyes casually shifted from one to the other as the pair of males introduced themselves. The story that Kazu told was not something that was completely unheard of, yet she had little experience with debt and the like. With so many years spent with her family and not out in the world, the young girl had no monetary debt to speak of. Sure she had been in debt in terms of favors throughout her life, but never had she owed money to another. Personally she felt too many put too much stock in zeni and the pointless items it could buy, but she kept her opinions to herself.
”Well it is a pleasure to meet you both. I am willing to help, but I do hope we can keep this from turning violent.” An almost shy smile followed the statement. It was not for a lack of confidence in her abilities or those of her company; she just felt it so often unnecessary. All around the world people had given into violence and all that accomplished was to breed more violence. Fighting was one thing, violence was another.
”I am ready when you are Ethar.” With a turn on her stool she let her hands rest upon her knees. Looking at over at him, she did indeed seem ready to go. If he was as well, the raven haired woman was ready to hop off her seat and take to the road…oh wait, was it still raining? The sudden though causing the woman to look towards the window. She really didn’t want to go back out in that rain.

The golden haired bartender sighed. "I'm sorry Miri, but this guy is most likely not going to just roll over. It may get hairy. I asked you two because you looked like fighters to me... your free to back out a any time though. There should be a black truck waiting outside to take you guys there whenever your ready to go." he explained. He slid Ethar a peace of paper. "If you absolutely need to, call this number. Tell the person who answers Kazu gave it to you and you could use a hand. But be warned... this person... is extreme. Very, very extreme. There's a good chance everything inside those walls that isn't you two will be torn to shreds in all the most brutal ways. I'd rather not get them involved if need be. But I'm not going to jeopardize your well-being either."
When and if they chose to continue on their way, the truck would drive them to a large villa with the high walls, the fancy gate, everything. All they would have to do is tell the guards at the main gate that Kazu sent them. From there they would be led in to meet Mr. Bilovsky.

Ethar took the piece of paper, and thanked Kazu for everything he had done so far. "Thank you. IF we run into trouble, Im pretty sure we can handle it. I've fought Akassa Hattori's General just about a year ago, and Im still alive now." He said, as he slipped the paper into his pocket.
Giving a thumbs up to Kazu, Ethar got up and made his way out of the pub into the awaiting truck. If Miri joined him or not in the vehicle, he waited until the truck would stop inside the Villa. But before it would stop, he looked over to Miri and asked "Would you like to try talking to him first, and I can back you up incase things got hairy?"
While he didnt mind a good fight, part of him also liked non-violent confrontations that were resolved peacefully. But as Ethar peered out of the trucks windows, He had a feeling nothing was going to be peaceful about this lil mission...

Miri frowned a little at Kazu word's but she understood. The world was not a place of flowers and rainbows and not everything was solved through diplomacy. If it came to violence she would defend herself, but she would not be the first one to throw a punch. Through her years of training the woman had learned to keep her emotions in check and it had benefited her greatly over the years. With a hop she was off her stool and right behind Ethar as they took their leave.
In the transport she quietly hummed to herself. Quite relaxed, different thoughts already ran through her head as to how this scenario might go. She was surprised to have Ethar ask her if she would like to take the lead. A small smile formed on her face at that, a slight nod accompanying it. "That sounds like a good plan. I will do my best to solve this peacefully, I can be quite persuasive if I want to be."
When they did finally arrive, she was quick to hop out, booted feet to the wet pavement. It was still raining, but not nearly as heavily as it had been before...thank goodness. If her hair had gotten soaked it would have taken forever to dry. With a look to Ethar she nods her heads towards the gate. "Shall we?"
