THIS PLACE WAS...DIFFERENT. She stood in the middle of a bustling city, watching as cars flew by and people wandered all over. There were buildings that stretched up to the sky, people and animal-like creatures everywhere. It was also warm, so much warmer than any place she'd been. Sage had abandoned her scarf and long sleeved shirt a while ago, dressed only in her brown pants, black leather boots, black tunic, and white cloak. Even her cloak seemed a little much, but with her powers so wasn't too hot. And leaving without it seemed odd. As in added bonus, it hid Damarus from others. Zara sat next to her, the dog frigidity. Neither of them were used to so many people. Both villages had been small—two hundred people at most. And unlike many villages, they were too far away to really go into the capital city for celebrations. She reached out a hand, putting it on Zara's head and rubbing her ears. The beast whined and looked up at her, ears back. Her expression said it all, "I don't like it here." Sage sighed.
"I know. But the sooner we can find a ship, the sooner we can get home," she told her. Zara gave one more small whine before licking her fingers. Sage turned her attention to the city, gaze roaming over the citizens. She gained some curious glances. The girl after all, was very much out of place. The pale beauty almost looked like she stepped out of a fairy tail. Her long blond hair was mostly loose, a few braid done here and there. It cascaded down her back, a river of white-gold. Her eyes were blue as sapphires, the golden flecks in them invisible to anyone if they didn't get closer. She looked innocent enough, but with the dog beside her and the scars on her neck peeking out under her cloak, she had an air of mystery and danger to her. With a large, strengthening sigh she moved forward into the crowded city streets. Zara kept close to her side, fur bristled. It was such a far cry from how her dog had acted in the forest. But staying there had done no good at all.
"Excuse me Miss. Miss!"
She stopped, turning toward the sound. A man stood behind her. He was roughly about her height with a large belly and a mustache that seemed too large for his face. She couldn't help but stare at it. The thing was so busy it was like a separate entity, the small colorful bits of what she assumed were sprinkles feeding it. She could smell the sickly sweet scent coming off him mixed with sweat. He was obviously a man who enjoyed pastries a lot, but did not do much in the way of physical exertion. Her gaze moved, notice the blue uniform he wore and the matching blue hat atop his head. She cocked an eyebrow, curious as to why he stopped her, her hand going to rest near Daramrus in her cloak.
"Yes, may I help you?" she asked. He blinked, looking thrown off by her accent and perhaps the small fangs in her mouth. Her voice was easily recognizable on Nor; any court knew of the rougher sounds of the Northerners. Though she doubted it had ever been heard on Earth. He cleared his throat, straightening up to his unimpressive height. It was like he was trying to be intimidating, show who was in charge. It was almost cute, if she hadn't been annoyed with the stop. Sage was intimidated by no man. Especially not this pathetic excuse for one.
"We have a leash law here," he said, as if she knew what he meant. At her quiet stare, he went on to explain, "You need a leash on your dog, Ma'am."
Her eyes narrowed. "I do not leash my companion. She is no common pet." Beside her, Zara had gone still. Her ears were back against her head, brown eyes staring at the man. If provoked, it was hard to see who would strike first: the woman or the canine. If he knew what was good for him, he would wish it would be Sage. His throat bobbed, and she watched the action carefully. Her eyes were still that enchanting blue and gold, her blood lust not yet peaked.
"W-well, that may be the case, but it is the law ma'am," he stammered out. Sweat beaded his brow and he fidgeted. She could smell his fear, mixing with the stink of sweat and pastries. Sage's fingers curled around Damarus' handle, a subtle movement hidden by her cloak.
"And if I refuse?"

Today had been an excellent day. The moment Famish had gone to school he found himself quickly being turned out to the streets by fourth period for his entrance and stay in the school had been "suspended". It all started when he went to help defend a fellow student from a bully, he should have been in the right on this one, but the bully who was clearly hitting this guy for no reason made it perfectly clear with his words how much of a snake he actually was. And, because poor Ish was an idiot with words he had to make his way off the premise. Now he walked the streets of Central City alone and slowly found himself very annoyed with himself because there was no way he was going to be able to explain himself to his mother with enough evidence to show that he was doing a good thing. Even if he was Lavish was a strict woman more-so then most mothers because his punches, she was afraid, might one day be able to knock down whole buildings. Plus, his very birth had been the most painful birthing experience ever for a human woman.
Despite some mixture between Saiyans and humans now after the war it was, in his mind, rare to see his own Half-Saiyan human kind. So rather then figure out a way to go home and explain this to his mother he walked through the shopping district of downtown Central City and actually passed by the clothing shop, church, and traffic area Akane Honoo, Jaxinette Caulie, and Ohkara Minamaru found themselves talking in. He did not engage them though instead simply walked by them and a number of other women thinking, "Women, women, women... Is all that my secondary home have is women? I can't stand that after the war there's not that many men left live. It makes so much sense and is so annoying. I may as well just wipe myself out from existence since I have two strikes against me. Being a man... And being a delinquent..." He so wanted to just sweep a couple ladies off their feet and kidnap him like his father had done with his own mother the moment he did he knew his mother would explode in rage.
Somehow she would find out where he was, what he was doing, and how he caused a problem. She didn't have any training in martial arts and doctors, who studied ki now to learn its properties, had given her a full examination and told her, "It's impossible for you learn abilities associated with ki. Don't go trying to jump off buildings any time soon learning how to fly. You'll die." Now nobody had ever done this to Famish's knowledge but there was always a possibility which is why his personal family doctor screened his mental state and power levels with a device called a scouter. Only he, his mother, and a select few people knew what he actually was but it explained too why he had gotten thrown out of school more easily then other students. His principal Mr. Worms was a sniveling man with a crooked back and a long notice and no hair. He was a coward, a lonely man, and when it came to Ish was extremely afraid his powers might destroy the school.
So Ish found himself in the park only to come across a heavy set man and a woman in a white cloak complaining about her dog and a leash, and, how both were could not be in the park in the same time unless she had a dog with a leash on. Hers apparently did not. Ish didn't feel sorry for the woman because that was the rules yet he did not feel happy about the man's demeanor. People forgot rules sometimes, or simply, they never knew them in the first place and had to be informed of them. He strode over to the man and then tapped him on the back of his left shoulder, "Excuse me, I don't usually step in to help women or anyone in general but if you don't disperse from here I'm going to have to tell you to leave the park. I'll have you know I'm an off-duty police and from what I see you may be harassing this lady. I suspect she simply forgot this rule you speak of and if that's the case I suggest I watch the dog for her. If it causes trouble it will be this officer's duty to handle it."
He gave a small salute after speaking and hoped the man accepted his words. He sounded pretty convincing. At least that's what he thought as he stood there and frowned at Elena for extra effect. "Ma'am he's got a point. Leash the dog or I will make you come with me for violating minor park rules about proper park and dog care. It's generally accepted that most dog owners leash their dogs here in this park due to safety concerns that might arise if the dog were to step over the line and potentially bite someone, pee where they're not supposed, etc. We don't have enough capacity at the local station to watch every dog so we ask all citizens to watch their own dogs for themselves so that we don't always have to. It's a fifty-fifty deal on this ma'am and you need to do your part."

"Ah, it's good to be home." Ethan said to himself aloud as he arrived back in Central City on his board. Granted it wasn't really his home, his first home was up in the mountains where all of his brothers and sisters still lived. His second home, the Crane School here in the city had been devastated during the war and was still under repair. So his real home, the one he'd lived in for the past year or so was in fact his boat, parked today at the Central City Marina. It was to this sixty five foot long vessel that the boy referred to as he glided over the city towards the docks, carrying some groceries from his favorite general store, hundreds of miles away in Metropolis City. Some might think the trip absurdly long just to pick up some odds and ends, but Ethan had made friends all over while traveling and given his natural high energy, he saw nothing wrong with rocketing from one city to another to see them. At the very least the trip would be a good workout, as this one had been. Floating down to the rear deck of his boat, Ethan headed inside and stored his groceries away before checking the time. He still had some before the lunch hour rolled around and so, still bursting with energy, decided a run would do him good.
His training weights would make the task of jogging through the city streets that much more difficult but as usual the boy did everything he could to push himself. Donning his head phones and music player, the shirtless teen ensured his weights were securely fastened, the last thins he needed was one flaying off and going through a car. One satisfied everything was in order, he queued up his favorite songs, set the volume on his player to eleven and set out. His route took him through the middle of town and before long, he was going through a park, quite a nice one in fact and he remarked to himself how nice it was that damage to the city wasn't total, it would have been a shame if the entire population center had been destroyed during the war. dragging his head out of the clouds and what could have been, Ethan returned to the here and now just in time to keep from running into a trio of people arguing in the middle of the path. Dodging around them, the shirtless boy nearly bumped one, another young guy by the quickly glimpse he got on the way by and then returned to the path with a shouted "Ooops, sorry about that!"
Ethan didn't go much further though, slowing up and finally stopping by a water fountain maybe thirty feet from the group. The run had been just what he needed, he was finally feeling some of his energy burned off and had worked up a good sweat along the way. All he needed now was to go for a swim and his workout would be complete, but first he wanted a drink and to surreptitiously listen in on what ever it is the three were arguing about. It wasn't so much that he wanted to be nosey, but rather he wanted to see if the guy he'd nearly bumped was worth giving a further apology to, if he sounded like a nice guy Ethan most certain would and if not then he'd get right along with his run. Of course there was also the possibility the guy would come to him, that would solve the whole problem as he did after all stop just a short distance away.

She was on edge. Sage knew it, Zara knew it. This new place, it scared her. As much as she hated to admit it, it did. Finding her way home was a much larger task that she ever thought possible. At most she thought there'd only be miles to her home, an ocean at most. but this? This world was not just a new land, but a new planet! One so different from her home. Here she didn't feel strong, she didn't feel in control. She felt that slowly slipping from her fingers, no mater how hard she tried to hold on. Maybe that was the reason she was acting so strongly to this pastry-smelling man. He seemed to shrink from her reply, not used to such a retort. She was sure that if she had looked like and been one of those woman she saw earlier—dressed in flimsy pink and brightly colored jumpsuits with fake blond hair and an abundance of make-up—he'd know what to do. Instead he was faced with this fairy-tale woman and her imposing dog, neither of whom were going to back down anytime soon. He was opening his mouth to reply when yet another man came over to them, standing behind the man. With a tap on his shoulder he had both of their attention. Sage's brow quirked, eye moving over the newcomer as he talked to the pastry-man. He had blue hair—not something too odd, she supposed. He seemed young, very young. He was handsome, but still had room to mature and harden. He said he was a off-duty police? Was the pastry-man also police? She supposed the uniform made sense. There had been no need for police in her small village, but they had them in the capitol. Though, they were more warrior-esque than the man before her. Pastry-man seemed more than happy to let him handle her, visibly relaxing. He took a handkerchief out of his pocket, dabbing at his brow. he mumbled his thanks and looked like he was about to leave as the newcomer addressed her.
Her curiosity about him ended as he spoke. Instead, a small smile moved over her bow-shaped lips, though it had little humor in it. "If she were to bite anyone, it would be because I told her too," Sage calmly explain, staring at pastry-man for extra emphasis. He blanched and muttering to the new comer about how she was "all his," he scurried off just as a jogger came by and bumped into the newcomer. Honestly, she was surprised that man had moved so quickly. She looked back at the newcomer. She reached up, running a hand through her hair, pushing the fine strands back with the left hand. Faintly, the scars on her left palm were shown, small half-moons made from teeth. With a sigh, she looked at her hound who stood beside her, hackles raised.
"Nech to," she said quietly, her voice coming out in a grated rumble. Zara instantly stopped, glancing up at her, calm once more. "Lehni," she said followed. Instantly, Zara was in a down, glancing up at Sage and panting happily. It was such a change from the dog moments before. Sage looked at him, giving a cool smirk and quirking a brow.
"Do you still think I need her on a leash?" she asked, practically spitting out the word. She didn't care for leashes, not where Zara or the other hunting dogs were concerned. She had them all trained. None as good as Zara, of course. But then, few rarely were. Leashes were for pets. For beasts like that Pomeranian nearby who had a boy bigger than their head tied into their fur. As the wind shifted, blowing against him and toward her, she sniffed. His sent was...different. And yet familiar. She closed her eyes, sniffing the air. He smelled kind of t\like the boy in the woods, but not quite. He didn't have any Noran in his blood, but it wasn't all human. She knew that now. Curious, she took a small step closer, sniffing the air again. Her eyes opened, sapphire blue and gold staring at him with curiosity.
"What are you?" she asked him.
As Sage was busy questioning the boy, Zara had turned her attention away from the two, and over to them man standing only a few feet away from them at the water fountain. Her eyes were locked on him, hardly blinking. it was almost as if she knew he was listening in on them. Almost as if she knew that there was one more person in this park taking an interest in the two other than the pastry-man and the newcomer.

Famish frowned slightly as he felt a vibe that the blond woman accepted his words only halfheartedly. He was going to say more but someone with blue hair bumped him and distracted him. She then took charge of the situation spoke of her dog only biting on command as he watched her focus her attention on the tubby man with them. A smirk crept on her face and she demonstrated full control over the animal by getting it to sit on command. He didn't know what language it was she spoke but that was because she muttered the commands under her breath. All he really cared about was her nor the dog getting in trouble with the fat man before them.
"You-You don't need a leash..." he stated giving her a thumbs up. He now wanted to speak to the guy who hit him while running by but as he motioned to do this the lady he was helping immediately sniffed the air around him and stepped closer to him.
When she asked her question to him he could only blush and respond, "I-I don't know what you mean miss? I'm what I am and you are what you are." Though it did linger in the back of his mind that she might be trying to ask what kind of person he was. He wasn't going to tell her that for sure as he ground his foot into the ground and added, "If there's any more trouble let me know..." before turning to head towards the man at the water fountain.

Finishing his drink, Ethan looked to the thrio and noted he had attracted the attention of at least two of them and now three as the dog stared at him. The woman regarded him for a moment and as their conversation took a strange turn, the other blue haired male turned towards him. Seeing an opportunity to get involved without looking too obtrusive, Ethan looked back at the dog and smiled as he walked towards them. From what he'd heard the fat man was raising issues about the big animal but to Ethan, the dog was no more threatening then a sheep when handled properly. The boy had grown up with dogs in the family compound and understood them, he knew that no matter how big and feroscious the beast they were all just big piles of happy mush, you just had to know how to treat them. Walking over to the trio, Ethan kept his smile up and stooped down in front of the hound, holding his hand out with his palm up for the beast to sniff.
"This is a beautiful animal." the boy commented happily and looked up to the woman and then to the young man who he'd collided with and was now watching him. "Oh hey, and sorry if I crashed into you there. Name's Ethan." he added and raised his other hand, offering it to the other male. The shortless boy had to admit, it was nice to find another guy with his hair color around, he hadn't seen his other blue haired friand in quite some time, not since the beginning of the war. Hopefully though making friends with this guy or the dog an it's owner wouldn't be a challenge, his picture on TV and news papers tended to make social engagement rather awkward.

As Sage sniffed the air around him, taking in his scent, the boy seemed to grow embarrassed. She watched as his cheeks reddened and she couldn't help to soft smile on her face. She wasn't used to seeing men get all flushed and embarrassed. The men she was used to were more so the chest beating and preening kind. Thinking back, she didn't remember Him ever blushing either. But then again...it wasn't like anything had been real. Shoving those thoughts away, Sage realized that he didn't understand what she meant. She watched him move away, turning as the jogger from before came over. As she did with the newcomer, she let her eyes sweep over him quickly, taking in his appearance and assessing him. Like the other boy, he had blue hair. Maybe that was a common thing here on Earth? Or she just had hat kind of luck to meet two in the same moment. Unlike the other boy though, this one was shirtless. A sight that was no unappealing at all. He was muscular, very much so. Though a younger, softer sort. He didn't seem to be very old, she'd almost place him at the other's boy's age. If it wasn't for the way they regarded each other as strangers, she would have thought them kin.
She watched, wary as the boy knelt down to Zara's level. From her place on the ground, Zara sniffed his hand, stretching her neck forward to smell him better. She looked back at Sage who gave a small nod. The dog leaped up, doing her high pitched bark-scream. She circled the boy once, twice, before coming to rest at his side and nudging his hand. She let out a small breath, visibly relaxing. The strain left her body, the tenseness in her face gone. If Zara was the relaxed, she knew that they were safe. She gave him a smile as he complimented Zara.
"Thank you. Her name's Zara. And I'm Sage," she said, inclining her head toward him. Her hand—which had previously been resting on the bone-handle of her sword under her cloak—dropped. This place would definitely take some getting used to. She glanced at the other boy, the police officer off duty. As of now, he was the only one to not introduce himself. She was still curious what he was. His scent reminded her of Ethar's, but not the Noran side of him. She glanced over at the other boy—Ethan. He smelled human. With the sweat he worked up from his run, she didn't need the wind to catch that part of his scent. Zara remained at his side from now, nudging his hand and pressing herself firmly against his leg.
Her dog, her mighty, fearsome dog. Most didn't look at her and connect the ferocious beast to the cuddle-obsessed little weasel she was. Everyone thought it was so cute. She wanted to be in her lap. She wanted to cuddle close and be a big baby. But they weren't the ones who had to live with it. Sage allowed herself to relax further, smiling more. She may be far from home with no way to get back as of yet. But...at least she wasn't alone. Whatever He had done, however He had hurt her... He had spared Zara. And sent her hound with her. I supposed I have one thing to thank him for before I kill him. Sage remained quiet, letting Zara have her fun. She wasn't sure if she was welcome into this little group. The way the boy had moved from her to Ethan suggested he was done talking. She was sure that her question didn't help that. She would wait for Zara to have her fill of attention or Ethan and the boy to make it clear they were done speaking to her. Then she would move on and continue to explore this city.

He wasn't sure who the blue haired man was that approached the dog and lady he was trying to help but as he watched them get friendly he kind of got sick to his stomach. "Geez," he thought, "for some reason I don't feel like sticking around." He didn't feel any sort of desire to stay since the issue seemed solved so he raised his hand and waved it at the blue haired man first. Then he rotated around and waved it at the woman and her dog before stating, "Sorry, for the short stay but I feel I must go. I haven't given you my name but since things are okay now I doubt you'll need my help again. See you soon, if ever."
Then in a cloud of dust he rushed off, heading away from the park and towards the back alleys of the city for his next adventure. Convincing his mom of where he had actually gone today... It was going to be a woozy experience, literally, for he had the notion she might knock him silly once she heard he had gotten into another fight at school. As things were, he had strong feelings that if it didn't end well today the next thing he would be off to do was to see the streets. And then, become something like his father who of all people was an evil, massacring Saiyan. He felt that with his power and how limited its uses were in this day and age that the only respectable thing of him to do with it was to be a thug, murderer or delinquent. His Saiyan blood seemed to agree with it anyway when he ever got truly mad.

To put it in the language of kids Ethan's age, the blue haired teen couldn't help but feel burned after his offer of a hand shake was rebuffed by the other blue haired youth. To make it worse, the guy didn't even stick around to finish his conversation with the silver haired woman, instead he cut the meeting short, giving her a half hearted goodbye with no real reason behind it and then ran off. Now Ethan, had he wanted to, could have easily intercepted the other young man, but considering how rudely he and the young lady were treated, that would not have been the move to make, especially when the cuddle monster was so intent on continuing to receive the boy's attention.
Shaking his head and standing strait, Ethan shrugged and offered his hand instead to the lady. "Wow, some guys... Anyway, good to meet you Sage, as you heard, I'm Ethan." the boy continued with a smile as it for just a fleeting moment crossed his mind that she might recognize him. Hopefully though that wouldn't be the case. In any event though he wasn't about to be unfriendly, in fact quite the opposite, Ethan was willing to talk to just about anyone as long as they were receptive. "And Zara's a cutie muffin isn't she?" he added and patted the dog's head. "So do you often walk through the park getting into arguments with walking bakeries and kids playing cop?" the boy went on, determined not to be as rude as the other and hopefully restore the reputation of guys with his unique hair color.

Sage was a bit confused as she watched the first boy—still unnamed—give her an odd, quick goodbye before running off. She blinked, confused. Earthlings certainly are...odd. Shaking her head, she turned back to Ethan, giving him a smile. She took his hand, the warmth of it seeping into her skin. It felt nice, actually, even it it was a bit sweaty. She hoped her other hand wasn't too cold. Even among Noran—whose body temperature was already lower than humans—her touch was cold. It was her magic, she had always assumed. Her village had always said that her touch was like ice against them. She had gone to wearing gloves when she was littler, bundling up even more than the others in a hope to raise her body's temperature. But as she grew, She had abandoned the extra layers and gloves, uncaring what the rest thought.
"It's nice to meet you, Ethan," she said, genuine in her word. She grinned, shooting a glance at her dog, who was currently pressed fully against his leg with er tail thumping like a drum, " And she's a little weasel is what she is." Zara sent her a look before going back to demanding her attention. At his next words, her smile grew and an unexpected laugh broke out. The sound was pretty, musical and light, soft as a winter's breeze. It seemed she wasn't the only one who scented the stench of pastries on the man. And it seemed like the mysterious boy from before wasn't actually a police officer. She shook her head, debating on telling him the truth or not.
"Actually...I'm not from here. Not just the city-but the planet," she admitted. Sage couldn't help it. There was something about this man that put her to ease. Her body was relaxed, her sapphire and gold eyes bright with amusement. She trusted him. She had no idea why, but with his kind eyes and bright smile, she did.

Shaking Sage’s hand, Ethan’s gloves shielding his palms from the coldness of her touch, but his fingers still picked up the decidedly chilling grip of the woman. He didn’t really flinch but the remarkably cool touch did visibly register on his face. Laughing as well as Sage and her dog exchanged looks, Ethan’s other hand continued scratching Zara’s head.
“Ah, offworlder eh?” the boy asked rhetorically with a smile. “Well I hope you’re liking it here on Earth. Are you staying in the city, or a hotel at the space port? Ooo, if you want I could even show you around” the boy continued somewhat excitedly, it wasn’t often anymore he got to meet such interesting new people and being naturally so high energy, he was getting a little carried away with himself.
“I know this great place on the water that serves fantastic lunch, I could also take you on a tour of the marina on my boat, or… Oh I’m, sorry, I’m going on like an idiot… I didn’t even ask, what do you do? Are you here on business?”
