”What if I'm not good enough?”; a simple question that sent a certain green-haired female protagonist into a search of her own.
It'd been a while since Zarbon had wreaked havoc on Central City, and although Ohkara hadn't been there for it, she had sense been questioning herself. Ethar and Ethan had to band together to take on the villain and protect the city, and in the end one was hurt... Ohkara didn't want to see that happen again. All she knew was to prevent it from happening again she'd have to get stronger. And that's exactly what she set out to do.
Without notice, she started up her ship and set out to explore the universe. She didn't know how long she'd be gone, but she was was ready to improve herself.
As she departed, she turned her gaze to the window and ran her fingers down it, mind replaying precious memories of the past, and her friends. Though she had ever intention of returning, she somehow felt as if this was goodbye, and it hurt her heart. Watching the orb she called home slowly fade into the distance, she let her mind continue to wonder until it was completely out of sight, then set to work on her journey of self discovery.
First off, she'd set her gravity, using her ships computer to increase the artificial gravity to 30 times the gravity she was used to. Though she was fairly adept in gravity training, having already experienced up to 20Gs, this time was no different than the others, and the sudden strain nearly brought her to her knees.
She'd live in this gravity, and slowly, her body would become accustom to it; though first she'd have to start training. With the added weight of her weights, she now weighed 7020 pounds!
Setting to work, she'd run through her routine, walking to running, running to gymnastics, gymnastics to flight and eventually tying it all together in one long ground to air routine. The process would take the entirety of the day, or what was considered a day on Earth... In space, it's kinda hard to tell...
After freshening up with a cold shower and some new clothes, Ohkara would make something to eat, and begin her mental training. Since this was an adventure of self discoverance, not only would she have to bring her body beyond it's limits, she'd have to do the same to her mind. Meditation and reading would take up most of this time, though with the additional gravity ever small movement would be training on it's own. The strain to the green-haired girl was intense, but she welcomed every second of it, her heart racing at the premise of bettering herself.
As the days flew by, Ohkara's training continued, and in this her fighting style evolved, and her skills advanced. Three new technique variants would be added to her arsenal, updating a few of her more outdated skills:
(Requested Moves:)
Meteor Barrage: Impact -
A variant of Meteor Barrage
User fires a barrage of baseball-sized energy blasts that hover in the air like mines, which explode on contact. Up to 10 in a post, 5 post cool down
Violent Frisbee: Homing
A variant of Violent Frisbee Control
Allows the user to fire off two discs that are quicker than the basic variant. Though what they have in speed they lose in strength, their cutting ability not as infamous as the predecessor. Instead of cleaving through, contact with this attack will result in a slash. 3 post cool down.
Weaponize!~
Tiered Variant – Radiant Slash
Used with the Weaponize Tech. Mainly, but not explicitly coupled with the sword for more accurate attacks. When wield the weapon can shoot off crescent slashes of ki from afar. Because they are thrown with slash though, the crescents cannot be directed after leaving the blade, thus precise strikes from far away take lots of training.
As she flew aimlessly through space, the ship set for no specific destination days would turn to weeks, and eventually a Earth month would fly by. Ohkara would find herself thinking of her friends through the entirety of her venture, hoping everything was well in her absence, but sure the gang would handle anything thrown their way. They were strong.
Of course, she'd wonder if they noticed she was gone, having not said goodbye, she hoped they wouldn't. Having to explain herself wasn't exactly something she wanted to do; surely they'd understand, but having to put the thought process behind her actions was a daunting task... Nevertheless, she hoped to see them all when she returned, whenever that might be.
What was she waiting for? Well, in her training, she'd made a discovery; she'd reached a wall, if you will, one she found she couldn't break through. To some, they might think such a wall was a sign they could progress no further, but to Ohkara, it was simply another challenge- to break this wall and find out what lied on the other side. But how?
After her discovery another week drug by, each day filled with the same type of training as the day prior, but no progression like the month before. Frustration would grow inside the woman, and eventually enough would be enough. Setting course for Earth, Ohkara would find the journey home would take three days; a welcoming sight after nearly a month and a half in solitude. Her heart would fill with warmth, and she'd cast aside her feelings of anger; determination sparking back up in her eyes, she'd continue on with the struggle of her tedious every day training, but this time with a newfound passion.
Ultimately, when her ship finally touched down on that blue sphere called Earth, she'd have only gained a tiny bit of leeway in her challenge of breaking through her wall; still she felt that was enough to prove it could actually be broken, and re-lit that fire once more.
Turning off her gravity chamber, something that had been on since her departure was a task all in it's own, and when the system finally winded down and released it's hold on the girl, she felt weightless. Stepping out of her ship was her next task, and one she'd find more emotional than first thought. As her foot touched the ground, she'd find a tear of joy running down her cheeks. Her lungs would greedily inhale the fresh forest air, and she'd enjoy every second of it, feeling a blissful serenity wash over her.
The saying “all good things must come to an end” was a perfect wrap-up to the experience, though, as her peaceful state would suddenly be interrupted by an explosion of notifications on her phone. Picking up the device, she'd hastily scan through it, her face filling with panic as she read the words.
“Sent a week ago.” The words that slashed at her heart. She'd missed yet another attack on the planet. Though, it seemed things had been taken care of, Ohkara felt so guilty, a hand gripping at her chest, ”I-I'm so sorry guys...” she cried, her gaze falling to the ground. The moment felt like an eternity, as she thought about everything she'd done in the time she'd been gone. Had it been worth it? Her friends had been hurt! Was what she'd achieved worth that? Was what was lying on the other side of that wall she'd discovered enough to justify her absence?
Emotional as the moment was, Ohkara would make no further discoveries into the power that laid dormant inside her; at least, not for the moment. Pushing her tears aside, she'd return to her ship and clean herself up, regain her composure and set out to check in on her friends and apologies for her actions. Although she knew words would not be enough to make up for her actions; she'd have to break through that wall and prove to them and herself that she'd done something. That she could now make a difference and keep this from happening. She'd make sure her friends, and her planet, were safe from now on.
Her training would take a turn from here; she'd set out to train with others, and out of them all there was one name that stood out particularly to her for some reason: Celeh. Having spent time with her, Ohkara had learned a lot, and if anyone could help her break through such a wall, it was Celeh. In their first sparring match she'd proven to Ohkara just how ruthless she could be. And that was just what she needed.
Celeh would not be the first stop in Ohkara's agenda, though; two of her friends had winded up in the hospital. It seemed Ethar had gotten the worst of the damage, so he would, of course, be her first stop. Setting out for his house in the mountains, Ohkara would reserve nothing, using everything he training had to offer in speed. Unbeknownst to her, when she got there, she'd find only wreckage, and likely a nerdy Saiyan vampire attempting to rebuild once again...
