The clouds were thick in the sky, the sun seldom peeking out from behind their cover. Small flakes of snow danced downwards towards the ground, which was already blanketed thick with soft snow. Birds were chirping, squirrels squeaking, the sound of wildlife could be heard all around. All in all things seemed very peaceful inside the forest; nothing was out of place, nothing seemed to note any signs of distress either. Had it not been stated otherwise, no one could have ever guessed anything was up at all. St. Nick had tasked the warriors with splitting ways in hopes of finding the culprit they were to catch, and thus each team of four had gone their separate ways. Team Alpha was sent towards a path to the right side of the forest, Team Bravo was sent down a path to the left. What either team would find in their search was unknown. Hopefully, they’d be ready.
(Posting order and power level locks will be established in the order players enter this thread. This account will act as the DM for this thread. Both Alpha and Bravo threads will take place simultaneously, and as such large attacks/energy signatures/noises, may all be noticed in the opposing thread. You may also choose to ignore these things if you see fit. As has been stated, there is no thread of death in these threads; however, teamwork is a must for finishing these events. Most importantly, don’t forget to have fun!)

Rascal trudged through the snow wearing her red, mini santa jacket with a matching red and white santa cap and red skirt. She held her arms against her body for although she had some decent layering with the wool this suit was made from parts of it were exposed to the frigid northern temperatures, especially her midriff.
"I'm going to become a Popsicle here soon," she groaned while walking on the right path layered with scattered trees. She had yet to see anyone who could be in possession of Santa's sack of goodies or anything else he might carry. All she saw were wild animals seemingly going about her own business but probably laughing at her for her current misery.
(Sorry I haven't posted in this at all! I forgot it was here!)

In spite of how giddy he'd been to volunteer for Santa's little troupe and his generally care free nature, as the group flew on to their destination in the north, the blue haired teen knew he had to get more serious when they arrived. With the task at hand being so important and this being their first mission of sorts since the impromptu defense of Central City, Ethan had to make sure to put on a good showing, if not for Ohkara to convince her that he was fully recovered, then at the very least to show the big man that he was a good boy. It wasn't so much greed for a shiny new present that motivated, oh no, more of a genuine desire to be looked upon favorably by the red clad legend. One could go into the psychological realm and claim some psychobabble gobbledygook about displacement or wanting a replacement father figure for the one that wasn't there, but Ethan was a much simpler person and had not yet grown out of childhood yet, and as a child he looked up to the legend driving their rocket powered ride.
Until their arrival in the forest though, Ethan was a childish, chatty mess, telling anyone who would listen about the Christmases they had back at the family compound or remarking about how fun it was to actually be riding in Santa's sled. On and on like a kid on a sugar rush. The blue haired boy finally burned through the excitement as they started their descent, realizing it was game time now, and grew decidedly more silent and serious looking, despite the, some might say silly, Santa cap that he was wearing. Disembarking the rocket propelled sled and leaving the bog man to guard his ride, probably in the sky where he was safest, Ethan stuck with his group as the others split off into theirs. Oddly, the inappropriately dressed young lady who'd been ringing the bell at the park and whom Ethan assumed to be a helper that would be staying with Santa, disembarked with the rest and was indeed assigned to their teem. She was remarking to herself how cold it was and Ethan couldn't blame her, it was pretty cold out. However seeing an excuse to finally get rid of his bothersome winter coat, at least for not, Ethan broke from Ohkara's side and stepped towards the young lady, the zipper of his jacket flying down faster then the eye could see.
"Here you go miss." the teen stated as he shrugged the still warm coat off and held it out to the young lady. "This should keep you warm, I won't need it." It seemed even sillier for Ethan to go completely topless in the snowy weather as at least the young lady had something of a top, but in all honesty Ethan preferred the cold to the coat, that and he'd frankly seen worse during winters at the family compound. Besides, if they were going to be fighting someone, the physical exertion should be more then enough to keep him warm. It was also quite the sight to be sure as the boy passed his coat off, his tanned, shirtless body, bare from the waist up contrasted starkly with the snow all around with only the red Santa cap, uncharacteristic black track pants and boots to bely the fact that the teen was indeed dressed for winter.

The Odonian was not in unfamiliar territory, at least not theoretically. He had his helmet on from the moment they had been taken for a ride to keep the chilled winds out of his face. His helmet's face mask was shaped to the unique, canine muzzle that jutted out from the center of his face as to not prevent breathing through his nostrils or to make him uncomfortable. The shape of his helmet and placement of the eye holes gave it a very symbolic appearance, even though for him it was simply practical. He hadn't talked much on the ride here. It wasn't out of some need to be antisocial or to distance himself from others, but rather that he didn't know anyone here. The blue haired fellow seemed to enjoy talking a lot, and that was fine with Zheig. He had no problems listening.
Zheig didn't feel words were necessary when actions prevailed. He, too, heard the young woman...at least he assumed it was a young woman...in her throes of misery. It was a simple request to solve for someone such as him. At the very least, he could greatly dull the burden of the cold on her with very little effort or focus. With a small bluster of wind energy, he formed a thin cocoon of air around her to disperse the snowfall and deflect whatever wind may be naturally prevalent through the tree cover. All it took was a flick of his wrist and a little visual focus to make it happen. With the wind protecting her from the cold and the coat that Ethan gave her to further protect her from the elements, surely she would be fine.
In the mean time Zheig turned his attention to the green haired girl and the blue haired boy. They seemed rather friendly toward one another. It was refreshing to know that, even if it wasn't with the wolf himself, there were at least two members of this team that were familiar with one another. "The young woman will be fine from the cold, but will you? Even I am not so bold as to weather these kinds of temperatures without some form of thick garb unless I were training my endurance and resilience." He spoke these words to Ethan, although his eyes and attention were scanning the snow covered forest for any sign of life other than animals and the like. Something that might have need of a certain magical sack.

Ohkara was more than happy to listen to her blue-haired companion ramble on the whole ride about Christmas, and Christmas’s past. She was happy that he had fond memories of the holiday. In truth, Ohkara only had a couple memories of family holidays. Her father loved to celebrate, anything could be an excuse to crack open a vintage bottle of whiskey, but once he died, the luster of the holidays seemed to pass with him. The green-haired girl spent many years in solitude before opening up enough to start enjoying the holidays once more. In fact, this was her actual first instance of spending the holidays with someone special to her since she was a small child.
Ohkara watched Ethan talk, her eyes widen, completely focused for the whole ride. When they finally landed, and everyone piled out of the sleigh, the young woman had almost forgotten where she was. Rushing to Ethan’s side as he followed the familiar redhead, and an armor-clad man, Ohkara let out a huff, her breath visible in the cool air, ”What are you do-“ she began to ask the blue-haired boy, only interrupted by his hasty offering of a coat to another woman.
Letting out a light huff of frustration, Ohkara’s arms quickly crossed over her lips, and her teeth gently bit her lower lip. She knew that Ethan probably didn’t mean anything from the offer- he was just trying to be nice, but to see him offer his coat up so quickly to another female; her footsteps into the crunchy snow grew harder- it wouldn’t be hard to see she was a little upset.
Turning her attention to the armor clad man, Ohkara’s eyes narrowed, and slowly she’d edge closer and closer to him, inspecting his armor closely. It was hard to tell if this man was caninid, or just liked his armor to be shaped that way. Either way, this stranger drew the green-haired girls interest, ”Oh, don’t worry about Ethan over there,” she told him, waving dismissively, answering for her companion, ”Believe it or not, but he thinks better without a top on,” she told him with a friendly giggle, ”I think shirts cut off the circulation to his big brain, or something!~” she teased, pointing her words at Ethan more-so than the stranger she was speaking with.
”My name’s Ohkara!” she finally introduced herself, offering him her best and cutest smile, ”What’s your name?” Normally this is where she’d offer her hand to shake, but as she trudged through the snow, she’d find that impossible. He’d just have to settle with an informal greeting instead.

"Thanks... for the jacket," Rascal stated looking at Ethan now with his shirtless form. She couldn't believe how foolishly stupid humans were. She could have made her own jacket out of thin air, however, really didn't want to. The reason being that although the job she was at kept her out of trouble. The whole deal with Santa Claus was starting to get dumb. She'd yet to see her boss do anything evil. So for now she remained watchful of the group as she stood in the snow. Most of them she'd met before but not everybody in this party. She wanted him to do something to the group that would be bad in her eyes since she didn't like them one bit.

After taking off his winter coat and offering it to the freezing young lady, Ethan tensed up and let his invisible aura billow out a bit, essentially powering up, as it was colloquially termed, until just under the upper plateau of power. The additional output of power would serve to keep the young man warm despite the freezing temperatures, although it did mean he would light up like a flare in the night to anyone scanning for energy signatures. The thanks he got from the young woman though seemed half hearted at best and the blue haired boy almost commented on it when Ohkara’s seeming displeasure interrupted him.
Ethan couldn’t understand why she’d be unhappy about him helping out the unfortunately dressed young lady, but judging by the huff she was now in, that was exactly what was up. The man in the armor, though not in the same mood as Ohkara, seemed to be just as surprised at the young man’s actions and raised a question that attested to that fact. Ohkara beat him to a reply though, making an off-color comment about how shirts seemed to hamper blood flow to his ‘brain.’ Ethan couldn’t help but chuckle himself at the comment.
“Heh heh. Oy, not my fault they are so restrictive.” the boy shot back. “And don’t get me started on the coat. It’d be like fighting wearing a giant marshmallow.” Still chuckling, Ethan stepped away from the young woman wearing his coat, seeing as she didn’t seem to want to be very conversational. He didn’t want to completely exclude her though and motioned her to come closer as he listened to Ohkara and the armored man converse.

With his face hidden behind his helmet and his hood, it wasn't hard to tell that Zheig wasn't exactly making his appearance known. Of course, if someone got a glimpse under his cape they would surely see his fluffy pale gray canine tail. For the moment, though, his eyes scanned the green haired woman through the visor of his helmet. He gave a faint chuckle at her upbeat attitude and the sarcastic comment she'd made about the blue haired fellow. "So, you know the azure haired young man? Ethan, you called him? In any case, my name is Zheig. Our meeting might be nice were the circumstances not so. It never does well to meet friendly faces when you're looking for trouble."
Hearing that Ethan thought a fluffy coat was like fighting in a marshmallow, the wolf laughed. "I would scarce call a coat restrictive, but it may look like you were a fighting marshmallow with something like that on in battle." Obviously Zheig knew a thing or two about restrictive garments. Wearing full plate armor took a lot of getting used to. His movements were restricted, although he didn't act like it. A combination of training in the armor all the time and simply learning how to move while wearing it during everyday tasks had made the armor like a second skin for him. It didn't do much against the caliber of attacks he was accustomed to fighting, but at the very least it could stave off minor damage. That...and he felt naked without it.
