He continued to speak as she looked around the room. The name Luxun tugged at some small bit of her memory, but didn't bring anything to the surface. She brushed it away, listening still. So his father was exiled? She wondered what he did. It wasn't unheard of to be exiled from a land, but from the whole planet? He must have been bad news. If anything, that put her on more alert. Did he get exiled from Nor too? It was possible. After all, who would leave the entire planet just to end up in a small little house like this in the middle of no where? And by choice at that. There were plenty of opportunities to have a place like this on Nor. If not in her own Court, then in the others. The planet wasn't exactly over flowing with people. With that in mind, Sage opted to keep her sword at her side—she didn't know if she would need to use it. Instead, she made her way over to the couch, sitting down. She shook her head, declining his offer.
"No thank you.... I've never been one big on sweet things," she said, a small smile tugging at the corner pf her lips. She leaned back, looking at the window and crossing her legs at the knees. "Back home, our storms are far worse than this... The entire land is covered in snow and ice, so it really only just gets about freezing in the middle of summer. Winters...winters are the worst though. We've been snowed in a lot, unable to even leave our cottage," she said, voice quieter at the memories. Those times were the worst. Most times she was stuck inside with her Uncle. They'd often fight, unable to be near each other for too long—two alphas in nature after all. Other times though he'd be stranded at one of his biddies, or at the hunter's lodge. She'd be left alone with Zara. It'd be quiet, and they'd be restless. Often frightened if she was really being truthful. Shaking off the memory she turned back to Ethar.
"How long have you been on Earth?"

"As you wish." He replied as Sage declined his offer for the hot drink. He poured himself a herbal tea and sat down on the chair near the sofa. He gently blew on teh surface of the tea, somewhat blowing a fragrant scent from the tea into the air but it quickly dissipated.
While he had not the same family experience that Sage did, Ethar's own childhood was an odd one. He didnt really know his uncle, since his mother taught Ethar to stay clear of him, even to stay hidden from sight. It was as if his mother was ashamed of Ethar in someway, but he had no idea what the truth was as to why he had to be hidden. Of course, Ethar left Nor on his own accord in an attempt to alleviate his mothers stress.
He looked up at Sage when she asked him how long he had been on the Earth. This made him think for a moment, as he replied to her "About a year and a half actually. I left Nor roughly over three years ago. My transportation took an awful long time to get here though. Not sure what happened, I was in an artificial sleep chamber for the majority for the journey. The times I was awake though, I was always studying and I covered an array of subjects. I think one of my favorites was Alchemy. Heh, Believe it or not, I still have the old schooling books from way back in the day. But when I had been on Earth for a while, I noticed that their books compared to 'ours', they arent as insightful as ours. I kinda wish I took some books from the royal library... There might of been some interesting tomes in there." He said, almost getting carried away with his academical history, but he snapped himself out of it.
"Sorry about that, I tend to ramble on when Im nervous. I have not been to the Wind Court myself. I have read about its harsh environments. The Water Court is very different from the Air Court. We didnt see too much snow or ice there, nor did we we constantly get freezing temperatures. Most of the Water Court consists of Archipelagos. Islands of all different sizes. Pretty much anotehr reason why I decided to build a home near a river and waterfall. Reminded me of home."

So a good deal of length it seemed. Enough to have a good grasp on Earthen culture. And maybe how someone could get back. As he talked about studies and books, she tuned him out. She hadn't gotten much of an education back home. She had been schooled a lot back in her home. Her mother had loved teaching her what she could, and she had gone to the small school there. After she came to live with her uncle, she attended school for a few more years. But by the time she was thirteen she started training as a huntress. Other woman in her village continued on, learning everything the matron of the town taught. How to be a good wife and daughter basically, along with a couple of other skills. Sage had been glad when her uncle pulled her and taught her how to hunt. Though, that didn't make things easy though. The woman often teased her about it, laughed at her lack of basic knowledge. She tried not to care. She knew so many other things, and far more useful ones than simply being a good wife. She didn't need to depend on anyone but herself to survive. A fact she had come very used to.
Her attention returned when he apologized for rambling. Had she? She hadn't been paying attention. She listened to him continue to ramble on about the Water Court. It was all stuff she knew. She as from Nor after all. Or did he—an obviously well-learned and high-breed man from the Water Court—think that she didn't know anything but her silly little village. That she didn't know about her planet and all the lands there. Well, he wouldn't be the first. The nobles that had visited her home that one year thought the same. And while they had taken a good beating, Sage knew they left thinking still that the villages in the wastelands like her's were no more than brutes.
"Do you ever go back?" she asked, raising one delicate eyebrow. Maybe if he did, she could persuade him to take her. Then again... If the trip was really as long as he said, she didn't think she could stand to be in a small space with him that long.

"Do I ever go back? To Nor? Since I have arrived here, I have been contemplating on going back to see my mother, and check up on her. I've been looking at the technology thats available these days for space travel, and I think its feasible. I dont think it will take anywhere near as long as my trip here did. I had recovered some logs from the ship a long time ago, and found out the course that was set in was altered to avoid several cosmic dangers. Super Novas, wormholes, and asteroid fields. So many detours that the autopilot had to work with. Why do you ask? Do you ever plan to go back?" He asked, curious as to why Sage wanted to know if he ever went back to Nor. Truth be told, he was considering it, but there were things on Earth that kept distracting him. There was also the question of why his mother constantly kept his true identity a secret from his uncle.
"If you ever want, I guess I could help you get back to Nor, and maybe give you a tour of the palace. Im sure people will actually be thrilled to see that I've finally gotten my nose out of books at last." He said, with a faint smile on his face. He remembered that back in his youth, all he did was study, study, and study. His mother always had people bring him books, and sometimes even tutor him in private, away from prying eyes. Ethar never did have a real social life, since his mother seemed to always hide him from the masses, and that was something he wanted to find out.
"I have been meaning to go back there for sometime now... Too many questions that need answers."
