Before the Winter. (Ohkara)

[Ohkara Minamaru]

Ohkara giggled at Ethar’s retort, shooting her a cute look, ”Oh-ho?~ Are you flirting with me?~” she asked, turning her head to the side and raising a hand to cover her mouth, ”My, my, my… Isn’t this Ethar ambitious? ~” She turned back to him and dropped her hand, bending forward and winking, ”I kinda like it~”

Suddenly Ethar would growl, his energy rising; the aura of the room shifted, the ground rumbling under the sudden pressure. Ohkara felt uncomfortable as Ethar made his transformation, and stepped backwards a few extra feet. When the glow that surrounded Ethar faded, and his energy stopped increasing, the man made his appearance. Indeed, he was male once more, however his looks had changed quite a bit.

Ohkara eyed him suspiciously, and she inspected him carefully. The long hair… the piercing eyes… those eyebrows… "Eyebrows!?" Ohkara couldn’t help but burst into laughter at this newfound appearance. Yes, nearly everything about it was menacing, but the eyebrows, or lack thereof, was more than enough to completely kill the ruse. ”No-ho-ho!” she huffed through laughter, ”What happened to your eyebrows? Is your energy too hot for them? They get burned off?” she teased, shaking her head and holding her side.

After a momenth, she straightened her back and exhaled deeply, turning serious, ”But seriously, that’s some trick… I mean… The power… noooot so much the look…” she giggled a bit, still not completely able to shake it off, ”I’m sure glad I’m not a Saiyan, cause I wouldn’t even be caught dead looking like that…” she added under her breath, covering her mouth in a false attempt to hide her words. Her hand fell and she gave a shrug, ”Whelp, even if your energy really is this high, it not like sheer power is all that matters in a battle. I’m confident I have the skill to bridge the gap… Even If it’s that big…”

Raising a hand, she pointed at Ethar with a smile, ”So how about it, No-Brows? If you’re that strong, then I suppose you can handle…” her finger withdrew, and her thumb took its place, hand pulling back to point it at herself, ”Me at full power, huh?” She taunted with a toothy smirk, her eyes burning with confidence.

"Its how most Super Saiyan 3s look like. I saw someone else do it, and I figured mine would look similar." He said as he smirked. His 'aura' continued to arc electricity as Ohkara started to laugh at the lack of eyebrows. "Dont call me No-Brows.... Besides...." He started to say as he started to chuckle.

"I can go even further then Super Saiyan 3!" He said, as he held out both of his hands out sideways, with his index finger pointed out. He seemingly used his energy to start drawing runes with his energy all around him. His Power seemingly began to spike once more as the runes began to glow. The simulator attached to the room came to life again, as it made cracks start to form in the floor, and caused more shaking as Ethar's Aura flared up again. "Hrrrrrrrrrrrrrragh!" Ethar screamed as his power rose up even higher.

Its radiant brightness became intense again, almost blinding Ohkara if she did not look away, as Ethar's power seemed to reach a grand level of 25,000,000 PL. The simulator also made it look like the walls themselves were starting to warp under Ethar's new "Power".

Eventually, the light would fade to reveal an all new menacing form for Ethar. HIs hair style had changed to be a bit shorter, but this time, it didnt all flow down his back. Some of it draped over his shoulder. Blue markings appeared on his face. But if Ohkara were to check for Eyebrows, they had returned, but all the hair had turned to a silver colour. HIs eyes were no longer human, and were pitch black, with glowing blue irises.

Ethar grinned, allowing Ohkara to see that Ethar's teeth had even changed to! He had fangs!



"What do you think now?" He asked, as his voice had seemed to be alot deeper, and more ominous sounding then before. Almost Villainous.

Again, Ethar would make a transformation. Ohkara took a few more steps back things turned white, and when the bright light faded, she crossed her arms and looked over the Ethar that now stood in front of her. Again, his appearance would be menacing; this time more so, with the correction of eyebrows. Indeed, Ohkara was surprised by the man’s appearance, and his energy signature. Though there was something unnerving about it, she’d never felt anything so high- it almost hurt her head.

Ethar asked for her opinion, and she smiled in response, giving him a shrug, ”Honestly, I don’t really care what you look like…” she told him plainly; however it was clear she was impressed, ”If you’re that strong, I’m going all out for sure! I have to see how I stack up against a power like this!”

Shifting, Ohkara began to bounce back and forth on her feet, throwing a few punches into the air in front of herself, ”Let me just get warmed up a second…” she told him, quickly adjusting her waistband and moving to a couple leg and arm stretches. After a moment she’d turn back to him, her expression serious, ”Alrighty! I’m ready if you are!~ I’m gonna give you all I got, okay?~”

Ethar smiled at Ohkara as she wanted him to come at her so she could give it her all. Ethar was happy his illusion was working on Ohkara, for now. Leaping off of his feet, He would seemingly attempt to throw a punch at Ohkara.

Ohkara wouldnt know it, but thanks to Ethar's magic, his ability to produce ki had been temporarily hindered, so Ethar would have to rely on Physical, melee attacks. To Ohkara's surprise, should she intercept he punch, would be super weak compared to the energy she was feeling coming off of him. A true punch from Ethar would only feel at around 100K, instead of the massive amount his illusion was giving off.

While he was attacking, He was curious if Ohkara was going to power up into a transformed state since she told him she was going all out...

Ohkara nodded to Ethar to single she was ready. A burst of toxic green ki exploded from her body as she readied herself, reaching the peak of her base output, one hundred thirty-four thousand and change. Her breath calmed, her eyes burning with focused determination. Her Perfect Composure was shining brightly as Ethar rushed her. Her eyes narrowed, her body swinging to twist past the thrown fist, and her leg kicking up hard, aiming a foot at Ethar’s stomach. If the kick connected, she’d follow through with a second, twisting her body with the recoil, and pushing herself away from the man.

Now, in combat, there was something even more unnerving about the man’s new found power. Ohkara’s brow furrowed as she stared him down, obviously suspicious, ”A-are you sure you’re all back to normal now?” she asked him, ”’Cause it feels like you’re holding back… Like a lot…”

Her hand rose to her chin, provided Ethar gave her the opportunity, and she tapped a finger against her lips in thought, ”You know… Actually, there is something weird about this whole thing...” she told him, still eying him critically, ”If you had really gotten this much strength in such a short time, I know I would have felt it… Something this big is feelable wherever you are in the world when you’re as good as me…” she let out a huff, ”And I know for a fact I never felt it… Plus… That punch you threw… Well, that couldn’t have been more powerful than what you are in base…” she told him. Her head slowly cocking to the side, ”Ethar? What this ‘trick’ thing you’ve been talking about literally some kind of trick? Like, as in, magic?”

Ethar grunted as the kick hit him in the stomach, causing him to reel over a bit in pain. "Ouch..." He said, holding his gut.

"Ok....You got me Ohkara..." He said, as Ethar's body started to shimmer as his power level went back to its base, and to Ohkara, Ethar's body went back to being a fake clone. Her voice had even returned to normal. "Ill come clean... I was using magic. Its a new kind of magic Ive been learning. Illusion Magic." She said, rubbing her sore stomach.

"I ve been practicing it, in hopes of using it to scare off monsters stronger then all of us can handle. With it, I can trick a persons senses with anything I want." She said, looking a bit guilty.

"Your not mad at me are you?" She asked, looking up to ohkara waiting to hear her answer...

Ohkara let out a sigh, her hand raising to her forehead, ”You know, I’ll never understand you and your magic…” she told him, shaking her head, ”I mean, why try to avoid fighting like that? If something big comes out here, and it threatens the planet, or my friends…” Ohkara’s serious demeanor returned and she looked at Ethar, her eyes burning, her fist held out in front of her, ”The only way it’s going to do that is if it kills me first. And that isn’t going to happen.”

Letting out another sigh, she dropped her hand and shook her head, ”No, I’m not mad… I guess I just don’t see things the way you do…” she told him, giving him a shrug, ”It’s okay though!” she exclaimed, holding a finger out to him and smiling, ”most the time you make things interesting, so it’s not a bad thing~”

Taking a few steps forward she clapped, giving him a nod, ”So, I have an idea. A display, if you will.” she said, smiling and rubbing her hands together, ”Let’s see just how I measure up to your simulated powerlevel!~” the idea made her giggle, and her hands clapped at her waist, ”I’ll show you just how much power I can put out, and you can tell me what you think, kay? Maybe I’ll impress you.”

She beamed brightly at the idea of showing off her power. This was something she’d never openly done; or done at all, really. Truly, she was curious how much all her training had paid off. Perhaps she’d learn she’d only improved a little… Or maybe she’d learn she’d improved drastically. Still, the idea make her somewhat uncomfortable; not that she’d ever let Ethar know that. After such a powerful display, fake or not, would she have enough power to back her cockiness?

”Whelp, I guess there’s only one way to find out…”

Tilting her head a bit, Ethar was actually very curious to see how high Ohkara could go. Her showing off her own strength could give him a good guess as to how far behind he really was lagging behind her. So, while nodding to her question, Ethar replied "Go ahead. Ill do the same... Maybe see if my natural transformation changes at all with this new body."

She then took some steps back from Ohkara and grinned. "Real ladies first." She said, gesturing Ohkara to transform first. She might be a woman on the outside, but Ethar was still a gentlemen. He was starting to wonder how much longer this temporary new body was going to exist as she pulled up the waist line of her pants a bit. Having a more slender figure, meant the jeans she had been wearing prior to the experiment were a bit too big, and seemed to have an issue with staying up on her.

Ohkara gave a nod to Ethar’s reply. Her hands slowly ran behind her back and she smiled, ”Alright!~ Here I go!” Her hands pulled forward from behind her, her fingers balling into fists. Bracing herself, her hands rose at her sides, and she let out a powerful roar ”Heeeyeeeaaaaah!!!”

Toxic green energy sparkled to life around her body as she roared; building momentum as it rose, sparkling with electric crackles. With the display, Ohkara’s power would rise as well. Reaching a peak of 179,770, then leveling out. As the energy continued to rage around her, like flames of green, she smirked, looking to Ethar, ”This is my max without my weights!” she told him, ”But I can go a lot further than this~”

Letting out a small giggle, Ohkara once again braced herself, her hands in the same position, and let out another howl, ”HEEEEEEYEEEEEAAAAAAH!!!”

Suddenly her power began to grow once more, breaking through the plateau it had seemingly reached. First doubling, then tripling- going even further. And as her energy signature increased, so did the Ki’s activity around her. The toxic green flames danced about, shrouding Ohkara’s body as her signature continued increasing. Finally, it’d stop, having quadrupled her base level, at a whopping 719,080. Reaching her real plateau of power she’d smile, dropping her hands, the energy around her calming down. With a smirk, she’d kick out a hip, placing a hand on it, and motion to Ethar, ”So, what do you think? Pretty incredible, huh?” she asked cockily, hiding any hint of nervousness she might have truly had.

Ethar just stood and watched in bewilderment as his best friend started to show that she clearly surpassed him, and Ethar was starting to sorely lack in the power department compared to her. "Im.... " She started to say, as Ethar's body started to glow softly. Her chest seemed to slowly deflate, and her long hair started to fall out, leaving short hair behind. It seemed that using his illusion technique seemed to burn up energy that he had acquired from Ohkara earlier.

"I must say, Im both Proud, Speechless....and dare I say, somewhat terrified, at your improvements Ohkara." She said, as she felt something on her hand, and saw some of her hair. Picking it up, she blinked and said "What the..." As she then reached up, and grabbed a handful of her feminine hair. "Was I exposed to radiation or something..." She said, as something pinged in her head. "THATS IT!" she said as she dropped the hair. "I think I know how this form works now... This is just a theory, but since this form is a mixture of your energy and my own, its not produced naturally. So the more energy I use, the less of the mixed energy I have, and the more pure it slowly becomes. And so my body would slowly revert back to its normal state. Like a Battery I think?" She said, as her feminine voice slowly started to return to normal.

Clenching her fists, Ethar smiled up to Ohkara and powered up himself, as what looked like chainmail dropped out of his pants, allowing his power to reach around 600K. While less then Ohkaras, it was still substantial. "IF your still up to sparring, Im all for it!"

Ohkara smirked, nodding her head, "Yeah, I guess we could spar~" she cooed, with her usual cocky tone, "If you're sure you're up to it." she pointed to the hair, then to his chest, "Just don't go falling apart all over me in combat, and don't say you weren't warned how strong I am!~"

Heading the rest of the way into the dojo (or across the room), she stopped and pivoted on her heel, quickly rolling the sleaves of her sweater up, "This is gonna be different than the last times we've fought, Ethar! I want you to go all out right from the start, and I'll do the same! Let's see if we can make the most of this little battery draining experement of yours!"

Taking her low to the ground stance, she narrowed her eyes, and readied herself, "For this fight, we're enemies, you got that?" she told him, a harsh seriousness to her voice, "Losing means you die, so don't hold back, you got me!?"

Finally, she was in a situation where she could vent he frustrations, and he could vent his. Once this was over the two would be on level ground once again, and their friendship would be restored. Though Ethar wouldn't admit it, after the incedent at Ethan's Birthday party, she felt this was what he needed too. Just as much as her. The stakes of this battle were higher than ever before, but Ohkara was ready.

"Make your move, Ethar! Show me what you got!"

"Very well, if I win, you help me overcome my... ridiculous weakness then!" Ethar said as he watched OHkara move to a proper fighting stance, and declared that they are enemies for this fight.

The Saiyan blood in his body boiled at the thought of an exciting battle. He wasnt worried about holding back with Ohkara, since he could heal her if she sustained any major injuries.

When Ohkara told him to make the first move, He nodded and put a pair of his fingers up to his head. Energy quickly formed, as right off the bat, Ethar yelled "SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!" as he then pointed his fingers at Ohkara, and a powerful spiraling beam of energy soared at Ohkara.

It seemed Ethar wasnt going to pull any punches now.
