Ethar had more then just 'some' experience with swords, and he was going to surprise Jaxine with his knowledge and prowess.
After his foot collided with her blade, her shoulder moved quickly and slammed into him, somewhat catching him off guard. Her shoulder tackle was followed up with several quick strikes, making him instinctively block then with his small blade, but when she thrusted forward, his small blade wouldnt of been able to block it, so he did the next best thing.
Instead of dodging it, he used his free hand to quickly reach up, and actually grab the blade itself. Struggling to actually hold it in place, the blade slowly cut into Ethars hand, drawing some of his hybrid blood, but Ethar held true.
Holding her sword in place as best as he could, Ethar suddenly kicked upwards, aiming for her stomach in hopes of betting her to back off from her assault.

The blade was stopped in place with Ethar's free hand. Jaxine smiled. "Goood." she said. Ethar then slammed Jaxine with a hard kick. She stumbled backward from the blow and regained her footing. She rolled her shoulders and cracked her neck. With a smile, she nodded. "Alright, so your not bad. Maybe I'll crank it up a notch." she stated. She gave her sword a twirl, than took it in both hands. A burst of Ki released around her as it formed layers of Ki plates over her like armor. Then she focused the energy into her blade causing it to glow gold before it pulled into the edge. The sword now had a gold Ki cutting edge and a faint aura of its own.
"Alright, lesson one." she said, then cracked a smile. "Dodge." she swung the blade from several feet away. It wasn't as long as Ezekiel's Muramasa, so it wouldn't strike Ethar. But Ethar would feel something pass ever so slightly past him, possibly cutting a few strands of hair. There would then be a sound behind Ethar like steel cutting though stone. If he looked, he would see half the parking garage behind him begin sliding off its stationary part. "Next time I'm going to aim for a building and hit you. Sound good?" she asked.
Fortunately the parking garage was empty. She wasn't going to go around killing innocent people or anything, her strikes were aimed accordingly. But Ethar may loose an arm or a leg...

Ethar looked back from the corner of his eye, he saw the building had been cut off of its supports. The building collapsed as its remaining supports failed, kicking up flying debris.
Eyeing the energized blade, Ethar said "Should of made the first swing count. Thats lesson two." He said, with a teasing grin as he dropped the tanto on the ground. It looked like he was giving up for a moment, before his right hand glowed, and a long Ki blade formed from Ethars hand, while a dis of energy formed in his other hand. Together, it looked like Ethar was weilding a sword and a shield. Hopefully, this would allow JAxine to clue in that Ethar had ALOT more experience then he was initially letting on.
"Ill let you in on a little secret... I have been training with weapons since I was 6 or 7 years old back on my home planet...."

As Jaxine has announced that he is 'retiring' from Rping for the time being, this thread will now be closed.
