With the handshake done, Hector returned to focusing on the drink that was in front of him as it was the only thing that could wipe out the memories of that nightmare from earlier and he would focus mainly on that. He'd wanted to have a more pleasant day, but the lack of sleep was killing him right now so anything else was push to the side. Downing the whiskey in a single shot he returned the glass to the table before pouring himself another shot while watching the others as well as the room. He didn't know if the others had any enhanced senses, but his own were currently flooding him with different scents, sounds, and sights right now. So much so that he was having trouble concentrating on who was saying what, the downside of drinking was that he couldn't focus on much although that was the upside as well. He rolled his finger along the edge of the glass while he watched and listened to everything going on around the bar.

It didn't take long for him to down the second shot, as he watched the server bring be called to get them wine, not something that he particularly cared about to be honest. He wasn't drinking for the sole reason that he enjoyed the taste, but he supposed if they wanted to drink he wouldn't stop them. "I'm good with the whiskey, you guys can enjoy the wine if you like," he offered hoping it didn't sound rude there just wasn't much interest for him in the wine though. The only real reason he was even here at the bar, was because the girl had happened to grab his arm and drag him along for the ride as it were now.

He wasn't sure how long he would be staying either, he would probably need to figure that out before too long, especially if he still wanted to accomplish his goal for the day.

The wine arrived quickly enough and pouring himself a glass, Gælon found the flavor much more to his liking. His company however, well the young lady was entertaining in her boisterous mannerisms and the man was physically fit enough so as to provide a substantial source of energy, however the both had their flaws. Hector was too quiet, and while appearing physically fit, did not seem to exhibit much energy. Ohkara on the other hand was a firecracker but she seemed much more interested in drink then anything else and while brandy was dandy, the Dæmon preferred a little more depth to his consorts. Perhaps he was indeed a bit jaded, however his tastes were what they were, while he could sustain himself with an empty tryst in place of a meaningful encounter, the differences were akin to a bag of chips being compared to a multi course dinner. Still he had no reason yet to be rude and go in search of other companions and so swirled his win around in his glass and took another sip.

“Feel free to help yourself.” the Dæmon replied both to Ohkara’s comment about the remainder of his other drink and the wine. Pondering quietly for a few moments Gælon decided it might be best to try and steer the conversation as it did not appear to be going anywhere on it’s own, perhaps then one or the other might start to blossom into something more interesting. “So, what lines of work are you two involved in?”

Obviously the conversation wasn't going anywhere by itself. The spark Ohkara was trying to keep alive was slowly dying out, and regardless of her outgoing personality. There was little she could do to get reaction of of either of them. Letting out a light sigh she downed her shot, making sure to get the last drop out of her glass. Then, turning her attention to the wine, she poured herself a deep glass, and swirled it around the cup, watching the crimson fluid cyclone around inside.

She wasn't a huge fan of wine herself, but free liquor was something she'd never argue over. Raising the glass to her nose, she'd take a breath of it, nose wrinkling cutely against the aromatic scent. It was much fruitier than she'd expected, but not at all unappealing.

Taking a sip, her expression of interest turned to one of amazement; this was the best wine she'd ever tasted. She actually enjoyed it! Eyes widening, she took yet another sip, and smiled brightly once more, ”Oh, wow!” she huffed quietly in awe, dumbfoundedness fading as Gaelon took hold of the conversation, steering it towards something he believed would would be more audible.

”Oh, me?” she asked, pointing a finger towards her chest. Hand quickly twirling about in the air, she shrugged lightly, ”I guess I don't really have a job...” she stated, the idea had never really crossed her mind before, ”Every once in a while I'll work with the local authorities as a bounty hunter... Sometimes I make my money off poker-games...” shrugging again, she again sipped from her drink, then added, ”I really enjoy competitions, but its been quiet some time since a tournament was held anywhere that I know of...”
