Watching Ohkara scold Ethar, Ethan let out a pained chuckle as the green haired girl gave the other young man what for. It didn't seem to get through to the brown haired man though and in spite of his worn out condition he tried to persist with taking the birthday surprise, as Ethan saw it, too far. Ohkara though had a remedy for that and literally slapped Ethan's belligerent house guest into next week. The bloodied young man hit the deck like a sack of potatoes and passed out, the energy weapon he'd been trying to form rapidly evaporating. Still chuckling, Ethan was in no shape to get back up, but he tried anyway, managing to prop himself up on one elbow to watch the action but couldn't get any further then that.
"Wow, talk about an over actor." the blue haired teen joked through clenched teeth as he tried to stay in the semi-upright position but it was clear by the way his body was shaking that he barely had the strength to maintain it. "We uh, we should probably get out of here. I'll give the dock master a call in the morning." he went on to suggest, although it was possible Ohkara was more interested in tending to them then driving his boat out of the marina.

Her slap had connected against Ethar's face, regardless of whether it impacted him in the intended way, it seemed rather effective at immediately silencing the Noran's anger. Watching carefully as the brown-haired man's body hit the ground, she shook her head. It was easy to see from so close up that this had not been an act; although that was something she'd realized far earlier.
Placing a hand on her forehead, Ohkara let out a long, heavy sigh; this whole situation was exhausting, but thankfully everything seemed to work out, ”Well, at least Ethan seems happy...” she thought silently to herself, glancing back over to the teen as he spoke.
”Y-yeah...” she agreed, shaking her head a little as she snapped back to reality; the whole situation was almost too much. Ethar would need to be spoken with once this whole mess had been cleaned up, ”But I'd rather not just run away while you guys are in such bad shape... I mean, look at you, you can barely sit up...” Giving the boy a weak smile, she carefully strode over to him, squatting down beside him once again, and wrapping an arm around his shoulders.
”Come on, lets get you inside, where you can get comfy...” she offered hoping to pull him to his feet and aid him into the houseboat. She'd come back for Ethar afterwards; and put him in one of the many comfortable guestrooms inside. Even though the Noran had acted so crazily, Ohkara couldn't ignore his condition; she'd tend to his wounds once again, and make sure to be there to scold him some more when he awoke.

Ethar was virtually motionless when Ohkara came back to him, with his blood pooling on the deck around him.
The smallest of wounds had already closed up, while the larger ones were bleeding much less. When she picked him up, he grunted a bit in pain as he would mumble something about not wanting to lose her to his best friend.
It would actually be a few hours before Ethar would be able to open his eyes again. "Where...." He said, as he looked down and saw that his wounds had bandages on them. "Ngh, my head hurts...." He added, as he rested his head in his hands, wondering where he was...

"Yeah, you're right." Ethan responded as Ohkara came back over to him and put an arm around him. Doing likewise, and using the young lady's offered support, Ethan managed to haul himself back to his feet and the two returned down the spiral staircase to the main deck and went inside. The blue haired teen didn't go past the living room though, preferring to plop down on one of the couches while Ohkara returned to the upper deck and retrieved Ethar. Stretching out on the couch, the shirtless boy turned on the television and waited patiently for Ohkara to finish tending to Ethar. By now he could only imagine how many of the local boat owners were out on the docks investigating what had happened and surely the police wouldn't be far behind.
"So, what your first lesson in driving a boat?" Ethan asked when she finally did return. "Like I said, the dock master is going to be pissed and the last thing I want if him calling the police, or worse, realizing who he rented that slip to." the boy added as he sat up.

Realizing Ethar was out cold, Ohkara would return to Ethan, whom was waiting patiently on the couch watching television. She smiled kindly at him as he spoke, placing an index finger to her lips, ”Well.. When you put it that way...” she thought out loud, then nodded in agreement, ”You're right. I'll see what I can do to get us outta here then.” Turning towards the doors leading to the outer deck and the spiral staircase.
She'd never driven a boat before, but she was confident that she could do it fairly easily; however, her confidence seemed to fade as she neared the doors. Stopping, she gulped and turned back, ”What do I need to know?” she asked, ”I-is it like, she struggled, miming her impression of driving a boat: left hand grasping an invisible steering wheel in the air, her right hand gasping a horizontal throttle, and pushing it forwards,”T-this?”. This was the true extent of her knowledge of driving a boat, which she learned from a boat-racing simulator game she'd played on an arcade machine years ago.
”I-I mean, I've driven a car before... B-but the only time I've driven a boat was on a game...” a dry giggle left her as she quit miming, shaking her head. Hopefully Ethan would know what she meant, and could walk her through the process. Surely, after a walk-through of the process from Ethan, she would be able to, at the very least, drive them out of the harbor- ”right?”...

Looking around his surroundings, Ethar saw that he was in a room he didnt recognize, and the bed he was on wasn't his either. He quickly attempted to sense any nearby energy signatures, but his head zinged with pain, preventing him from concentrating.
Slowly, he swung his legs over the side of the bed, and attempted to stand up. Pain burned through his body as he moved it, but Ethar pushed through it.
Wobbling a bit as he stood, he slowly made his way to the door, and slid it open. Hearing voices from elsewhere close by, Ethar slowly made his way towards the voices, eventually recognizing who they belong to. But just as he got within eye sight of the two, the pain in his legs made the give out, making Ethar collapse to his knees in pain, making him yelp a bit in pain. Just loud enough to alert the two that he was there.

"Heh heh! A little more complicated then that, but yeah." Ethan chuckled after watching Ohkara try to pantomime the motions of driving the boat. "It's like driving a really oversized car, one that like to slide sideways if you're going slow and steers by swinging it's back end, not it's front... And has two engines." the blue aired boy went on to explain. "I'll tell you exactly what you need to do, don't worry. When you get upstairs and go to the consul, you'll see the key already in it. There will be two switches marked engines one and two. Flip those to On, then press and hold the start buttons under them one at a time until you heard them start up. Now you got the part about the lever right, except there's four of them... Err, two blue ones on the outsides and two red ones on the insides. The blue ones select the direction of the engines and the red ones are the throttles. Just start her out slow and point us out to sea and we should be good. Then..." Ethan was about to go on with his rather lengthy set of instructions when the sound of Ethar collapsing in the kitchen drew his attention.
"Oy... If you want to put him back in bed I think I can handle getting back upstairs and getting us underway myself." the shirtless teen commented, rolling his eyes at the brown haired young man's inability to stay put in a bed when he was hurt.

Ohkara was listening intently to Ethan's directions as he explained the whole process of driving the boat. At first it didn't seem to sound too complicated; however as the boy continued explaining things proved otherwise. With a nervous smile on her face, Ohkara nodded, following him as best she could; hopefully things would just pan out when she got up to the consul.
Suddenly a yelp from the kitchen made Ohkara's body jump with surprise. Quickly turning her attention to the source of the yelp, she spotted Ethar whom was kneeling on the floor. Rolling her own eyes she gave Ethan a nod to his suggestion; after-all letting the professional pilot the boat was probably the best thing to do anyways, ”Just try not to hurt yourself too much,” she told him.
Walking over to Ethar, Ohkara let out an audible sigh, ”What are you doing?” she lightly scolded, ”You should be in bed!" kneeling beside him, her arm would wrap around his shoulder, ”Come on,” she ordered, attempting to haul him to his feet, ”If you don't want to lay in bed, I am sure we can find some space on the other couch...?”

Feeling Ohkaras arm around him, it somewhat reminded him of the last time they got 'close' to eachother, when he was conscious. It made his cheeks go red in colour from embarrassment, though from his situation, it was hard to tell what he was blushing from.
When she helped him to his feet, and asked him if he wanted to rest on the couch, he let out a soft sigh as he nodded to her in reply. "If that will help make you smile, the sofa will suffice." He replied, still red in the cheeks as he would walk with Ohkara to the couch so he could rest.
"How is Ethan? I didnt terribly hurt him did I?" He asked, as his embarrassed look turned to one of sadness, and humiliation. He had a terrible secret, and from what he remembered, it almost claimed the life of one of his friends....

Ethan was trying his best to keep the explanation of the boat's operation as simple as possible but he could tell by the way Ohkara's eyes were starting to glaze over as he was talking about the four thrust levers that it wasn't working. It was literally like telling someone that the car they were expected to drive for the first time was in fact a pair of busses side by side with four stick shifts. Unless you knew what you were doing it wasn't going to go well. Ethar's reemergence from the guest room though gave Ethan the excuse not to risk his boat's safety, not that he thought Ohkara couldn't handle it if she went slowly, but this wasn't a time for being slow as the growing crowd on the docks exemplified.
"Hah, don't worry." Ethan replied with a smile. "I think I'll be fine as long as old sparky there doesn't give me a second helping of that power fist." the shirtless teen went on to joke as he rolled off the couch and to his feet. holding his still aching midsection with one hand, Ethan steadied himself with the other as he left through the sliding doors and headed up the spiral stairs to the upper deck. While Ohkara scolded his unruly house guest and now passenger, Ethan made his way to the captain's chair, seated himself and within a minute the boat's engines rumbled to life. Steering them out to sea, Ethan pushed the throttles up and the vessel was under way, leaving the scene at the docks behind them. Once at a comfortable distance from the docks, Ethan brought the somewhat lumbering boat to a halt and dropped anchor. With the craft safe from spectators now, the blue haired teen headed back down to the main deck and crashed back on his couch while Ethar now seemed to be occupying the other.
"Ok, we're safe, no paparazzi coming out here to look for us." the teen stated as he stretched out and folded his arms up behind his head, trying to relax his injured middle.

Ethan was slow to get moving, and rightfully so after having taken such a rough beating; however, once on his feet and headed towards the stairs, it only took a second for his blue-hair to disappear around the corner with him. After watching the young teen leave, Ohkara turned her attention back to her Noran friend, and gave him a kind smile as she helped him plop onto the couch.
Taking a seat next to him, she gazed into his eyes only to find a look of sadness and guilt. Gulping lightly at his words, Ohkara gave him a nod and hand a soft hand gently down his back in a reassuring back rub. Opening her mouth to speak, she couldn't help but let out a tiny peep of a giggle, ”Hehe, if there's one thing I know about Ethan...” she told him, placing her other free hand at the Noran's knee for further reassurence, ”It's that he can take quite a beating. I wouldn't worry too much about him.”
Her face went blank for a second, and her gazed dropped, ”Afterall, you just hit him... Its not like you speared him with a sword...” she said with her own level of guilt. It seemed like it had been just yesterday when Ohkara had gotten poisoned and attacked the brown-haired Noran herself, skewering her own rapier straight through his chest. Compared to that, this situation seemed somewhat tame, especially since Ethan mistook the whole event as a positive thing.
Sniffling a bit, her left hand moved from the mans knee to her nose, gently wiping it, as well as her eyes on a sleeveless arm. Feigning a light giggle, she did her best to steady her emotions and return her gaze to her companion, ”How about we keep the truth of this whole situation to ourselves, Ethar... I mean, even if you told him the truth, I don't think he'd believe it...” With a sigh she added, ”Maybe it's better that way anyways...”
As expected, it only took the young teen a moment to get the engines started and boat moving; this was something that Ohkara was undoubtedly thankful for, having not been all too excited about piloting such a craft for the first time under such a stressful environment. As the boat gently rocked against the current, a smile returned to Ohkara's face, ”See,” she told Ethar, ”I think he's just fine; fine enough to drive even.”
Her arm gently patted the man on the back before she returned to her feet and headed for the fridge, ”You want anything?” she called back, ”Food? Something to drink? Anything?” Tossing the fridge door open, she began rifling through it, removing a few small snacks as well as a couple bottles of water.
Her ears perked as she heard the teen re-enter the living room area and plop onto a couch. ”How about you, Ethan?” she called back, ”Can I get you anything from in here?”

Looking over to Ohkara, and seeing that her mood was fine since the commotion had died down, he let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you Miss Ohkara. I am ever grateful for being so understanding. As for keeping things secret, As long as teh subject doesnt come up, We will be fine." He said, as he looked down, feeling guilty as he mumbled "Im terrible with secrets..."
Ohkara then got up, walked to the fridge and asked him if he wanted something something from the refrigerator. "Just a bottle of water please. Im not sure what kind of damage my body sustained earlier. Best to keep things simple until I heal..more..." He said, as he leaned back against the back of the couch. He felt the couch rub up against him, making his back hurt a bit through the bandages.
"Ouch... Speaking of... How the hell did my body get like this anyways? It feels like my body was torn to ribbons...."

Stretching out on the couch to relax as much as possible after the evening's entertainment, Ethan angled his head up to look into the kitchen when Ohkara asked if he wanted anything. In truth, he'd been hungry before Ethar showed up, now however his appetite had quite literally been punched out of him. Bringing a hand down from behind his head, the teen rubbed his midsection and gave it a few moments thought. He could eat, if he hadn't thrown up by now it was unlikely that he would, unless their unexpected party crasher decided to get uppity again.
"Sure, I could eat, but we better keep it light, don't want to ralph all over." the blue haired teen joked. He took a few more moments to relax while Ohkara looked about his kitchen, before hauling himself once more back to his feet. "And don't worry, if I do I'll aim for lover boy here." the shirtless teen continued to joke as he sauntered over and rustled up the other young man's hair on his way into the kitchen. He was still pretty sure the whole thing was an act earlier, a fabricated reason to justify the fight and also confusing enough to keep him off guard for the climax. Given that it must have been an act, and also given Ohkara's rather amorous advances on him, Ethan had no qualms about returning the flirtations. That thought in mind, the boy stepped right up beside the young lady and leaned against her, tilting his head to rest on her shoulder.
"Find anything good in there?" the boy asked, referring to the refrigerator. "If not... well we can always go with what ever it was you had planned before uh... heh hem... that."

Letting out a small giggle at the young teens response, Ohkara peeked her head back inside the refrigerator, only to reemerge once again with a few more snacks- mostly fruit and vegetables, as that was what the fridge was filled with. Hearing the young man enter the room, she paused and greeted him with a warm smile. What he did next, however took her by surprise. A light red flushed into her cheeks as she felt his body lean against her, his head resting comfortably on her shoulder.
Blinking quickly for a moment, his next words would once again take her by surprise. The light pink shade to her darkened, her face now alight with bright crimson, ”W-whatever I had planned... B-before...?” she echoed, her words having trouble leaving her mouth. When they had been discussing plans earlier that night Ohkara had never actually had food in mind.
”E-Ethan?” Ohkara exclaimed with a tone of surprise, then whispered in an almost inaudible voice, ” Ethar is in the next room over...
As if hit with a bag of stones, Ohkara then made the realization that Ethan had no way of knowing what exactly it was she had been talking about earlier; his response had been an innocent one. ”Duh!” she silently scolded herself, ”How could I be so stupid?”
”I-I-I mean! Ethar is in the next room over.” she frantically repeated, waving a hand at her face to try to cool what felt like it was on fire, ”We have to make sure he is fed too.”
Grabbing the small pile of food and waters she'd made on the counter next to her, she handed a few to Ethan, and pushed him forwards with a gentle shoulder, ”C-come on, we can worry about getting a proper meal later. Actually...” she started as she entered the living room area where the Noran was sitting, “You might not believe it, but our Ethar here is an excellent cook!” smiling brightly, she sat down in the center of Ethar's couch, pushing him as close to the armrest as possible.
With a bright smile, the young girl handed him a bottle of water and a few pieces of fruit and vegetables; the bright red to her face had mostly faded, however there was still a light pink shade to her cheeks, ”Maybe when he is feeling all better he'll cook us all something special? Not tonight though, of course...” Turning her attention to the blue-haired teen, she smiled again, patting the open space on the couch beside her, ”There's plenty of space if you wanna come sit with us,” she offered him; opening her own bottle of water, she would take a small sip, then return the cap to the bottle and, as covertly as possible, press the cool bottle of water to her still warm face.

Unknowing to Ohkara or Ethan, while Ethar was trying to relax against the couch, his heightened Noran senses were picking up the conversation in the other room. While his memory of what happened earlier that day was still fuzzy, he felt uneasy about the conversation. The tone in Ethans voice, a faint hint of fear in Ohkaras voice.
Moments later, the two seemed to come back into the room. Ohkara had some water, as well as some fruit when she came in, and sat down beside Ethar, nudging him over to the side of the couch. She mentioned how good of a cook Ethar was, which made him smile a bit as he replied "Your just addicted to my cooking aren't you Miss Ohkara?" as he gave off a soft chuckle. Unfortunatly, such an action caused him to grip his side in pain. He waited for it to subside before letting go of his side.
He looked up to Ethan, then back to Ohkara as he said "You know, I could hear both of you clearly in the next room...right?"
